CLEMSON, S.C. — Jaron Blossomgame was named to the All-District III Team on Tuesday by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA). It was Blossomgame’s second straight season earning the honor. He was recently named third-team All-ACC as well.

He was joined on the all-district team by Joel Berry II and Justin Jackson (North Carolina), Luke Kennard and Jayson Tatum (Duke), John Collins (Wake Forest), London Perrantes (Virginia), Dennis Smith (NC State), Sindarius Thornwell (South Carolina) and Melo Trimble (Maryland).

Blossomgame leads the Tigers and is ninth among all ACC players with a scoring average of 17.3 points per game. He surpassed 500 points for a second straight season, a first for any Clemson player since K.C. Rivers from 2006-08. Blossomgame is also second on the team with an average of 6.2 rebounds per game.

The 6-foot-7 forward ranks eighth in Clemson history with 1,668 points and 811 rebounds. He is also tied for third in career starts (122), tied for fifth in 20-point games (30), tied for sixth in free throws (369), seventh in 10-point games (84), eighth in minutes played (3,820) and 10th in field goals (602).
