Bowman Sells will undoubtedly be one of the top quarterbacks out of the Lone Star state in the 2016 recruiting cycle, and he spent three days at Dabo SwinneyDabo Swinney

on a more personal level.

The 6-2, 182-pounder- who received a Clemson offer back in the spring - is already a part of the Morris coaching tree – his head coach at Lucas (TX) Lovejoy is Matt Green, who was an assistant under Morris when he coached at Lake Travis.

Sells spent the last part of Friday morning talking to Morris before flying back to Texas, but he told TigerNet that the visit couldn’t have gone any better.

“The visit was awesome,” he said as his dad drove the pair to the airport. “I love the facilities and the campus is great. I talked to Coach Morris this morning, and he was telling me how everything is at Clemson and how everyone is family and stuff like that. It was really cool to see everything.”

Sells also spent time with Morris Thursday evening on a tour of Clemson’s facilities.

“Last night, he took me around the facilities, and we saw the locker rooms and the players’ meeting rooms and stuff like that,” he said. “It was neat seeing something like that, and knowing that maybe one day that is where I will be sitting. That was really cool.”

He then said that Morris and Green are very similar, but he used his time with Morris to refine a few things.

“I think they are pretty similar,” he said. “They are both high-energy guys and still nice guys. They have very similar personalities. Coach Morris worked with me on a couple of little footwork things. The mechanics are okay, so we worked on that.”

He also got to spend time with Clemson commit Deshaun Watson, of the nation’s best quarterbacks for 2014.

“I was in the same dorm as he was, and I thought it was a great opportunity just to get to know him a little better,” Sells said. “He is one of the top quarterbacks in the nation, and it was good that I got to meet him and hang out with him. He is a cool guy. But being out on the practice field with him lets me know where I am in comparison to him and other quarterbacks in the nation. He was a really nice guy and made the visit go a lot better.”

Sells said he will have a quiet rest of the summer, and realizes he has a lot of time before he needs to make a college decision.

“The rest of the summer I will just be working out with the team,” he said. “I might be going to the TCU camp, but that is about it for the summer. As far as making a decision, whenever I feel like I have seen enough of each college and know the coaches well enough, I will make a decision. But I am nowhere near that point right now.”
