Clemson, SC-Clemson continued its preparation for eighth ranked Georgia with a two hour practice on the practice complex behind the Jervey Athletic Center. Head Coach Tommy Bowden worked his team in full pads in 90-degree heat.

"It was a long hot practice," said Bowden. "In terms of the time we were out here we tried to simulate a game. A game lasts three hours and we were out here about two hours and 50 minutes. We had the first teams go against either other and the second teams etc. The second half of practice we worked on all phases of Georgia. It was a long hot practice, but it could be that way when we play Georgia on the 31st.”

Bowden was asked about the running back position after practice. "Bernard Rambert has had a good spring and a good camp. He knows his assignments, he knows what to do. We are comfortable with him back there because he knows where to go. He has been here four years and knows his assignments. Yusef Kelly and Ty Hill are coming along. They just don't have as much experience as Bernard."

Nick Black was back at practice on Thursday after undergoing tests to determine if he had problems with his gall bladder earlier in the day. All tests were negative. Black had been complaining of a stomach problem, but it appears to be a muscle strain.Nick Eason missed another day of practice, but did run for
the first time. He should be back at practice full go on Saturday.

Bernard Rambert was in a green jersey, meaning he had limited work due to an ankle injury. Chad Jasmin has a pulled stomach muscle and missed the practice. Dustin Fry missed another day recovering from a dislocated kneecap and Derrick Hamilton missed practice due to a sprained ankle. He also should be back on Saturday.

Clemson will hold its annual Beanie Bowl on Friday night at Death Valley. The practice will simulate game day conditions in every phase from testing communications with the press box to running
through pregame stretching and drills.

There will be a situational scrimmage aspect to the practice as well. It is closed to the public.
