Offensive Back - Woodrow Dantzler, QB, Clemson

Woodrow Dantzler, a graduate student from Orangeburg, S.C., eclipsed his

previous offensive efforts with a Clemson record of 518 yards of total

offense in the Tigers' 45-37 victory at NC State. In addition to

completing 23 of 27 passes for 333 yards and four touchdown passes, the

quarterback ran for 184 yards and two touchdowns of his own. While

breaking seven Clemson records for the game, Dantzler became the

school's all-time career leader in total offense. He also became the

first quarterback in ACC history to record 4000 yards passing and 2000

yards rushing in a career.

Offensive Lineman - Kyle Young, C, Clemson

Kyle Young graded at 90% for 81 plays and had a season-high 19 knockdown

blocks in Clemson's 45-37 win over NC State. Quarterback Woodrow

Dantzler followed the center all day en route to his record-breaking

offensive performance of 517 yards of total offense. The graduate

student from Clemson, S.C. graded at 100% on pass blocking and did not

allow a sack on the day. The 567 yards of total offense was the most by

a Clemson team on the road since 1903.

Defensive Lineman - E.J. Henderson, ILB, Maryland

E.J. Henderson, a junior inside linebacker for the Terrapins, matched a

career high with 18 tackles, 13 of which were unassisted, in Maryland's

20-17 comeback victory over Georgia Tech. In addition to his four

tackles for loss, the Aberdeen, Md., native recovered a fumble and ran

32 yards for the game's first touchdown. Henderson recorded one

quarterback sack while playing every defensive snap against the Yellow

Jackets.

Defensive Back - Dexter Reid, FS, North Carolina

Dexter Reid had eight tackles, and interception, and a touchdown in

North Carolina's 30-24 victory over ACC foe Virginia. While it was the

second consecutive game in which Reid picked off a pass, this one

resulted in a 67-yard, fourth quarter touchdown return and a Tar Heel

victory. Reid also had eight tackles on the day, six of which were solo

efforts, and two pass breakups.

Specialist - Nick Novak, PK, Maryland

Nick Novak kicked the game-tying and game-winning field goals, as

Maryland remained undefeated in its nationally televised, 20-17 victory

over ACC foe Georgia Tech. The red shirt-freshman from Charlottesville,

Va., kicked a career-long 46-yard field goal as time expired in

regulation to give the Terrapins a chance to continue their perfect

season. A few minutes later in overtime, Novak kicked a 26-yard field

goal that proved to be the game-winner for Maryland.

Rookie - Derrick Hamilton, WR, Clemson

Derrick Hamilton made eight receptions for 106 yards and a touchdown in

Clemson's 45-37 victory over NC State. The freshman from Dillon, S.C.

set a new school record for receiving yardage in a game with the 106

yards. His 31 receptions on the year place him just three shy of the

Clemson freshman season record, and he ranks second in the nation for

receptions per game by a freshman.
