Skelton Resigns as Ticket Manager

by -

Clemson, SC - Bobby Skelton, who has worked at Clemson for the last 16 years, including each of the last two years as the school's athletic ticket manager, has resigned to become the Director of Secondary Athletics for Pickens County. He will begin his new position on August 14.

"Bobby Skelton did an outstanding job as our ticket manager and we will certainly miss his professionalism and expertise," said Bill D'Andrea, Clemson's Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs.

Skelton became Clemson's Ticket Manager in 2004. He worked in the ticket office for nearly 10 years overall and was an employee of the athletic department for 16 years.

A 1980 Clemson graduate, Skelton served as a graduate assistant in the basketball office under Cliff Ellis while pursuing a master's degree in the mid 1980s. He was named Director of Basketball Operations for the men's basketball program under Ellis in 1990. He remained in that position until 1996 when he moved to the ticket office.

Skelton is married to the former Joy Davis of Orangeburg, SC. They have two daughters, Ashley and Sarah Jo.
