Clemson 1/10  -

South Carolina 1/17 -

Vanderbilt 1/31 - "It's a program in the making. I also have a good friend

there. If I made the decision to go there I feel I could start at any skill

position there."

How was your trip to South Carolina this weekend?

"I got there after one of my basketball games on Friday night. I got in

about 12.  Lance Laury, my host, was there to pick me up. I talked to some

of the coaches and then we went out and hung out with a lot of football players

and recruits. I had fun.  Then on Saturday I had another fun day. I got a

chance to meet with some of the professors and see how the campus at USC was."

Are the Gamecocks your leader now?

"I had a good visit to Clemson.  I had a better visit to South

Carolina. But you know the visit doesn't really make the decision of where I

want to go. But I did see Derrick Hamilton, my host from last week, down at

South Carolina at one of the little parties. He kind of acted like he didn't

know who I was. That kind of threw me off.  I didn't know what was going

on."

Is UCLA out now?

"Yeah.  The new coaches didn't really get to see me play.  When

they saw the film they felt different than the old coaching staff did."

Is it going to be a signing day decision?

"Yeah I think that is best.  You never know. They could sign another

quarterback or another guy at your position when they told you they wasn't.

I want to ride the whole process out.  You never know what could happen."

Has recruiting affected your basketball season or school work?

"Recruiting has given more a reason to get in the classroom and do what I

got to do to get  the job done. I don't want to end up like one of my best

friends who went to Marlboro County.  He went though a lot switching

schools.  I don't want to end up like that."
