Giddy Up! Go West at 49th Annual Tigerama
CLEMSON - Clemson students are saddling up the horses and strapping on their boots for the 49th annual Tigerama Friday, Nov. 4, at 7:30 p.m. at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Sponsored by Blue Key Honor Society, the Clemson homecoming tradition will showcase the theme "Go West, Young Tiger." The fun will begin with a pre-show event on the lawn of Littlejohn. Inflatable games and activities for children will open at 5:30 p.m., followed by entertainment by Clemson student singing groups and other performances on stage at 6 p.m. Littlejohn doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
As in recent years, this year's Tigerama will be an "all Clemson" show, featuring only Clemson students, faculty, staff and alumni.
"Clemson students, faculty and alumni are responsible for Tigerama's status as one of Clemson's greatest traditions," said Blue Key Tigerama director Harrison Trammell, a senior civil engineering major from Charlotte, N.C. "Tigerama is a true Clemson experience, and the show's content reflects that."
Tigerama will feature Tiger Band, the cheerleaders and Rally Cats-and their comic counterparts, the Rally Boys, Pershing Rifles, Clemson's male a cappella group Tigerroar, skits by student organizations and the crowning of Miss Homecoming. Emcees for the evening will be Clemson alumni Bubba Britton, who was a contestant on the ESPN show "Beg, Borrow and Deal" and is featured on the "Tiger Tailgate" radio show, and Mickey Plyler from "The Overdrive" on WCCP radio station. The show will be followed by a spectacular fireworks display outside.
Tickets are $8, with proceeds going to the Tigerama Endowment, which funds scholarships. Tickets can be purchased on campus at the University Union, the Alumni Center, the athletic department, the Hendrix Student Center and bookstore. Tickets are also available off campus at Tiger Sports Shop, Knickerbockers, Hubbard-Young Pharmacy, The Athletic Department store and the Student Book Store.
