Cumbie, Walker Have Successful Surgery

by -

Clemson was scheduled for two practices on Thursday, but with temperatures soaring over 100 degrees, the Tigers only practiced once. The team went through a two-and-a-half hour session in the morning, then the afternoon practice was cancelled.

Both sophomore defensive end Jamie Cumbie (shoulder) and freshman offensive tackle Landon Walker (knee) had successful arthroscopic surgery on Thursday. They will start their rehabilitation on Friday, and both are hopeful to play in the season-opener against Florida State on September 3.

The Tigers will continue preseason camp with one practice on Friday afternoon.
