CLEMSON -- Death Valley is normally covered in orange the
night of Clemson University's Tigerama homecoming show, but this year there will also be a dash of red, white and blue.

The 46th annual Tigerama, at 7 p.m. Oct. 18 in Memorial Stadium, will have a patriotic flair with the theme "Saluting Our Paws and Stripes."

The day's festivities begin with a pre-show carnival at 3
p.m. on the field across Williamson Road from the east end
zone of the stadium. The carnival will feature three, big inflatable games ---- a slide, an obstacle course and an airplane ---- face painting, balloons and other fun activities for kids.

Tigerama, sponsored by Blue Key Honor Society, will feature Clemson cheerleaders, Rally Cats, Tiger Band, Tigeroar, Men's Glee Club, Flying Tigers skydiving team and a drill by the Pershing Rifles.

The emcees for the evening are Terry Don Phillips, Clemson's athletic director, and Connie LeGrand, news anchor for WHNS FOX Carolina television station.

Following a pep rally, student organizations will perform skits, Miss Homecoming 2002 will be crowned and the evening will conclude with a fireworks display.

Tigerama will also feature comedian Arnez J, who will
perform at 9:30 p.m. Arnez J has appeared on "Louie
Anderson's Comedy Showcase" on NBC, "The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show," Comedy Central's game show "Make Me Laugh," "It's Showtime at the Apollo" and in his own comedy special on Black Entertainment Television. He currently co-hosts the number one morning radio show in Chicago on WGCI and performs his stand-up routine in clubs, colleges and concert halls around the nation.

Tickets for Tigerama are $5 for students and $6 for non students.
