Baseball's Jack Leggett Seriously Injured in Ski Accident |
CLEMSON, SC - According to various media reports Clemson baseball head coach, Jack Leggett, was seriously injured in a snow skiing accident while on a family vacation in Vail, Colorado.
He suffered 2 fractured vertebrae in his neck but underwent successful surgery in which the fractures were fused with bones from his hip. Early on it was thought to be a possible paralysis situation but it appears Leggett will be able to make a full recovery following rehabilitation. Leggett remains in a Colorado hospital where he is alert and able to converse with his doctors and actually will return to Clemson on Thursday. Leggett has been the head coach of Clemson baseball since 1994.
