I’m guessing that was sometime in the 70s, maybe even late 60s. Daddy died in 1989 and Mom in 1995. Miss them both terribly.

The cub scouts were surely different back then when no girls were allowed to be in the same troop with the young men, and those were the best of times for the male cub scouts when the young guys was never asked to sell girl scout cookies!!!!

I was adopted at birth by my parents. It wasn't until I was about 12 that I found out. My adoptive mother was very lacking in motherly love. I chose to live with my father and my adoptive mother faded into a distant memory. Anyways, throughout my life I never sought out or cared to know my real parents. They got pregnant while in HS and back then those things were an embarrassment. I am 55 years old now. Last year my eldest son had a DNA test done to get family background information. Well surprisingly, somebody reached out to him and told him that he thinks she knows my mother, it is her sister. Well after a whole life of not caring, I now have a suprisingly healthy mother. So for the first time, I share a pic of my mom. I don't have many except on my phone, but I found this one from her last birthday.
