unified in the mission and purpose. It doesn't mean we have agree on how it is accomplished, but we must be unified in the mission.

The unrelated example that comes to my mind ... unity in the purpose of Jesus Christ. Not everyone agrees on worship styles and the disputables (free-will vs predestination, OK to consume alcohol vs not consuming, deacons vs elders, pre-tribulation rapture vs post-tribulation rapture, covenant theology vs dispensationalism, etc.). But, we are focused on the mission - salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, to love others as Jesus loved us, to repent of sin, Jesus is Son of God, etc.

You think so? I think you’re wrong. I think if Clemson surveyed the alumni, season-ticket holder’s, members of IPTAY, they would find out that people do not want that crap on the field!

Please define equality for me.

What is equality?

Who gets to decide when the world is equal for everyone?

Let me help you out. Equality does not exist. Equality is a myth. We are all equal under the law. That is all you can achieve. Everyone in America is equal under the law. From a legal standpoint we all have the same opportunities. Other than that there’s nothing more you can do. Not in a free society.

There will always be someone taller, stronger, faster, smarter, richer, funnier, better looking, etc. etc. etc.

Do you want to talk about privilege in America? Nobody in America has more privilege than a good looking woman. Do you think a short or fat or ugly or bald man has more opportunity or has it easier than a good-looking woman? Even a hot black woman will find it easier in America than nearly 99% of the population.

There have been surveys that show that most fortune 500 CEOs are taller than average and very few have shall we say hair issues! Black people and women love to ##### and complain how few black and female fortune 500 CEOs There are in America. Think about that a moment. There are over 330 million people in America But only 500 Fortune 500 companies. It doesn’t take Mr. Spock to tell you that the odds even for a white man to be a fortune 500 CEO is near zero! And let’s not forget that many of these companies are run by the people that founded them or created them or a family member. Furthermore, most of these corporations are in some form of STEM. Yet few women and minorities major in STEM in college. It reminds me of the man that’s always mad at God for not winning the lottery despite the fact that he has never bought a lottery ticket!

Do you understand these morons on the far left are now going to have transsexuals competing in the Olympics? I hate to break it to you people on the left, but having a sex change does not make you a woman. You may not have a #####. But you are not a woman. And all across America these insane liberal judges are letting transsexuals compete against girls in high school. And now the Olympics. So what we have is men and boys competing against girls and women. Does that sound fair?

Actually, I think people in life get what they deserve. Including these thugs killed by the cops! Yes they are thugs. Look at their criminal records. And every one of them is in the commission of a crime and/or resisting arrest when they have been shot. People get what they deserve. Including white people committing crimes and resisting arrest. Including women. But this is going to be interesting because it’s not gonna take long, maybe 5 to 10 years, before people on the left start realizing it’s not a good idea for men and boys to be competing against women and girls because every record is going to be shattered and these women and girls are going to get crushed and women and girls are going to quit playing sports because they have no chance to win or even be competitive.

Let’s see what Megan Rapinoe has to say in a few short years when 17 and 18 year old transsexuals are taking away spots from women on our national women’s soccer team. You do realize the women when they’re getting ready for the Olympics or the World Cup play high school boys? Do most of you know that? They scrimmage against the national 21 and under squad and get their butts kicked! Just like high school boys would stomp The best WNBA team. Wait till some white transsexuals are slam ducking all over women in the WNBA and taking spots from women, especially black women, On the Olympic and World Cup female basketball teams. Is that the equality you want? Ye shall reap what you sow!

All in the name of fairness! Equality!

It’s going to destroy everything the left has gained and created thanks to Title IX.

All of this is predictable of course. All of it is completely common sense to people that are rational and reasonable. There’s even a saying those of us on this side of the fence know.... Thou shall reap what you sow!

Wow!!! Lowcntry, you’re a real joy! Glad I don’t have to listen to you more than this one time!! Looks like our first post was right, people are still gonna find problems with such a benign issue. What in the heck is the problem with unity and equality painted on the sideline!!?? You ridiculously negative, paranoid, pessimistic people can find problems with everything! I’d say some of you are reading way too much into things! And those of you that are gonna go hunting or fishing or whatever, GOOD RIDDANCE! I’ll be enjoying this awesome team with its fine young men, who also can play some incredible football and their amazing staff and head coach!

Where do I start..... First of all I am an avid Clemson fan and alumni. So deciding to stake a stand is painful for me in this instance. I’m also the one that said I will be hunting more this fall. Unlike your claim we are not reading too much into this. Where does it end? The football field should not be a platform for social issues. For example, there is an alarming amount of people both in public and in politics that believe abortion up to full-term is acceptable. Shall we place a stencil of an unborn fetus in the womb with a slash through it on the football field as well? Maybe we should put the letters LGBTQ in the Endzone instead of Clemson? My point being is you give an inch and a mile is always taken. Unity and equality are perfectly fine ideas. However this is opening up Pandora’s box and people like you that want to brush it off and say we are reading too much into it will be the reason this crap never stops. So if taking a stand against the idea of bending the knee to pacify those that scream the loudest is something that offends you, you should reconsider your position and not jump on board with the cancel culture and tell people good riddance if they disagree with your point of view. Division one college football is the most unequal institution in the country. You go pick the best athletes to give you the best chance to win a place them on the field. The average athlete doesn’t have a chance. And I am perfectly fine with that. That is life. Winners win. Isn’t it ironic that we are putting the word equality on the field?

OK then I think Trump 2020 should be painted on the field so that the conservative football players don't feel left out. Why is it so hard for you people on here to understand that no political or social expression is acceptable on the football field. Clemson and ACC are the only logos that should be on the uniform and the field. This is sports not politics or activism. This is the problem. If the players want to speak on a platform then do it off the field in front of as many cameras as you want. Saturdays you should be focused on winning a football game with your team mates

Really?

You do realize equality does not exist right?

Other than equality under the law, which we already have, how would you make the world equal? How do you make America more equal? How do you take a capitalist free society which is by far by far the best system while not perfect that man has created. You do understand that this is where communism comes from. It’s this thought process that created communism. How well has communism worked in the world?

So how are you going to create equality without fundamentally changing democracy and capitalism and America?

Can a short white kids take growth hormones and steroids To have the same opportunity to play quarterback and get a guaranteed $111 million contract like Deshaun Watson?

Are we going to make short fat ugly men tall and attractive? Because tall attractive men even tell attractive black men have more advantages than short fat ugly white men.

Are we going to get flat chested women boob jobs because we know for a fact women with big ##### have advantages.

Are we going to make tall skinny attractive women eat sugar all day so that they become fat and ugly? Because the most privileged people in America are good looking women. Including hot black women.

So how exactly are you going to make America and the world equal? What magic wand do you have? Have you ever looked at nature? Ever heard the term survival of the fittest? If you want to see what God intended if you want to see what reality is look at the animal kingdom. People are animals. We just happen to have bigger brains and the ability to alter our environment and kill from a distance, which are the only things that make us different from the rest of the animal kingdom.

So please tell me how you gonna make the world equal?

Even more complicated, imagine that, who gets to decide what is and is not equal?

You know as well as I do that Doug Flutie was never really given a chance in the NFL. And yes I know spud Webb and Muggsy Bogues both played in the NBA. But what we’re talking about are extremely extremely rare exceptions to the rule. There will always be exceptions. That’s why I don’t believe in absolutes. That’s why I think judges should be given a certain amount of latitude, but not a free hand. That’s why I think most rules and laws and legislation need to be as basic as possible. I never say never and there are always exceptions to every rule. And while there are many things that are absolutely black and white, there’s an awful lot of gray in the world. There have been a few short and or fat presidents in this country. But there hasn’t been a really fat president in over 150 years and there hasn’t been a short president since maybe Eisenhower and even he was average height. Modern presidents tend to be taller than average with plenty of hair. Trump and Clinton were overweight, but neither are hugely fat or morbidly obese.

And I appreciate you not just mindlessly throwing out stuff like "BLM is Marxist" like other folks who don't even know what that means. But the law needs to do MORE. You're confidently standing on the same system that makes a black man 75% more likely to be incarcerated for the same crime as a white man (all other factors equal; including criminal history), and ignoring things like black families getting lower home estimates than white ones, or mixed families getting better home estimates when they take down all pictures of black family and only hang up pictures of white people. Both of those things could and should be prevented by law, but they aren't.

Honestly, you sound like someone who's bitter that they weren't born with the perceived advantages others have. Or maybe you've been wronged by an attractive woman with large breasts? I'm not exactly a looker but I worked hard for what I have and I'm proud of what I've made myself. Though I am taller than average at 6' 1", lemme tell you: that doesn't make you a god. I have almost a foot over the VP in charge of my plant, and I don't have the hard living look that he does. One conversation with him though, and you understand why he is where he is. I'm certainly not bitter about people stronger, faster or more attractive than me. There's no freaking way you can say the same after reading your little diatribes here. But I digress.

"Other than equality under the law, which we already have" is simply not true. It might seem that way on the surface, but you have to look beyond that. You certainly wouldn't have anything against two identical people getting the same prison sentence despite having different skin color, right? Or black families getting fair home estimates? I try to avoid throwing the "R" word around the way some liberals do, but if anyone has an issue with either of things, well...

I’ll tell you why I don’t support it. I absolutely support the idea of unity. I absolutely believe that Black Lives Matter. So do red lives and blue lives and all lives. Second but I do not believe in our support the organization Black Lives Matter because it is an anti-American anti-family Marxist organization. And if you notice the way those words are being written on the field it’s white print on a black background Showing support for BLM. Also if it wasn’t for whats currently going on in this country with BLM that stuff would not be printed on the football field. What’s on the field is called virtue signaling! It’s window dressing. It’s bending the knee. It’s appeasement. It’s ignorance and stupidity! Wow

The irony that liberals and people that support antifa and BLM totally miss or ignore out of willful ignorance is that the people that our players are supporting and the people that you say you’re supporting are actually the people trying to divide America and tear America apart! They are actually the real racists and authoritarians and Nazis!

I still can't believe how the just slapped a 2018 up there on the other end of the 2016 National champions. If space was an issue then do this:

National Champions 1981, 2016, 2018

THe version they have up there just looks slack. But hey, it was just a national championship. And then there is the outside of the east endzone where it just had 2016, 2018, 1981. I mean how much would it cost for the lettering to say National Champions. The odd thing is Clemson is not usually slack about things, but that is. At least since the third ear is up there it doesn't look like someone was born in 1981 and died in 2016 like it did befoe.
