Final #s differ greatly vs overnights. Bama-UGA natty bigger

Apparently the online-viewing Nielson numbers added greatly to the overnight Nielson numbers (which I assume are almost instantly reported from cable/satellite set top boxes). And apparently the viewership numbers dropped greatly for the second half-blowout.
I would have thought that the Bama-UGA natty would have drawn less interest since it was 2 SEC teams (therefore of less interest to folks from other conferences) but it looks like that game had a larger viewership.

Atlanta and Birmingham viewing area might be the two largest college football TV market... I would have to check, maybe Houston/Dallas might be mixed in, but both cities have higher CF following per capita.
Plus, people watch a trainwreck and I always play "where's waldo" with UGA in the 4th quarter. haven't found them yet.

Pity they can't count the DVR'd replays of the game...Pretty sure the TNET crew could bump the percentage up a point or two.

These 4 CFP appearances have been like free advertising for Clemson University, and that's not even counting the extra exposure they're bringing on Youtube and social media.

Going to at least tune in for a score update and many were going to check in during the second half to see if the ending would mirror the '15 and '16 finishes. My hunch is when word got around about the halftime score, more viewers came to see the blood in the water (very crimson!) and what the sharks would do next. Face it, 'Dirty Laundry' draws eyes...Don knew that! (Bubble-headed bleach-blond, aside!)
