So... depending on how far you think Bama would fall

after a loss to LSU...
we could be as high as #4 after this weekend, if OU, Oregon, and LSU win.
What if someone told you we'd be #4 in the BCS with 4 weeks to go in the season (including conference championships)
You think Bama only falls 3 spots if they lose? Nah...
FSU would still have UF and ACCCG
Oregon would still have OSU and PAC 12 CG
OSU would have Illinois, Michigan, and B1G CG

Unless they get curbstomped, Bama won't fall below us

But Baylor and Stanford will.
An Oreg loss is basically the same as Bama, I doubt they fall below us with a close loss.
I would like to get to #5 after this weekend.
Ultimately, being #4 would get us to a BCS bowl game, which is what I want.

Bama would have to lose 2 games to drop below us due to SECheat bias. The good news is if they lose to LSU, I still think the Auburn has a chance to upset them as well. I can see a #3 finish this year. Unfortunately, I don't see us going any higher than that, but we can only pray for a miracle.

I don't buy this "miracle" stuff

even if Bama were to stay above us... we'd be #5 in the country with 4 weeks left...
That's 4 weeks of tough games. Us moving up to the 2nd spot would be ABSOLUTELY within the realm of possibility

of them would want to see us play FSU again in lieu of some other conference champ.
Heck, even if Mich St were to win the B1G and be sitting there at 12-1, could pass us in the last weekend while we sit at home.
I'd love to rematch against FSU, though.

That's just the way things work. Unless they lose by double digits which I don't see happening

they will fall. I doubt that we will go ahead of them but it is nice to have the top two teams non-sec teams.

If history repeated itself it would be a couple of spots. Not nearly as much as if another team lost that game.

I think I would be more concerned with how far we fall if we lose to Ga.Tech.

Bama would only fall to #2. They have to keep Bama in the Title game. It happen one time before with them!!!
