Weird how SEC teams keep being over-ranked early in the season. Almost like there is some kind of method, or intent to it.

So Clemson shouldn't get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to rankings but the SEC should? And the best "from top to bottom" is the dumbest, illogical, and most subjective argument SEC goobers make. There is absolutely no way to prove it disprove it

^^^^BengalBilly must be a coot convert that started following Clemson/CFP in 2015. He clearly didn’t follow the 2014 season, because they looked very legit at that point in the season.

It seems a little weird at face value, but they had a hot start to the season with Dak Prescott at QB.
Once Prescott started to wear down and faced a few tougher defenses, they came back down to Earth.

but it's one of those weird quirks of college football history. Like how weird teams like Boston College and USF reached #2 in the nation in 2007.

How about another one...
TCU sitting at 10-1 and - ranked 3rd- obliterates Iowa State 55-3
DROPS THREE SPOTS - ranked 6th.

The problem with TCU that year was that they had no conference championship game to play for, and we’re tied with Baylor at the same record.
MORE importantly the team that Jumped them had the same regular season record, more ranked wins, and beat a top 15 Wisconsin team 59-0 in a conference championship game as a 13th data point.
Also went on to win the Natty. Seems like they got it right that year ???????

Yet that TCU team beat an Ole miss team that had beaten #3 Alabama, #14 TAMU, and #4 Miss St 42-3.

Three ten-win seasons in school history
Nov 13, 2019, 3:28 PM
|
|
One in 2014, one in 1999, and one in 1940.
There were a few years when they managed to win nine games (2017, 2015, 2010, 1980, 1976 and 1974).
Otherwise, this team hasn't really been relevant on the college football landscape...well...ever !!!!

Those SEC teams played musical chairs in the to ten all year all started with a&m's crushing of usuc. Funny they all got beat down when they had to play decent teams from other conferences at the end of the year
