Puntruskie still pisses me off for one reason

Bobby Bowden called a timeout and he had none. Right after that play. And the refs gave him one. Should've had to back it up 15 yards and then no chip shot FG. Still gutsiest call due to how deep it was in our territory.

As the play developed I wanted to jump out and trip him... It would have been one h€ll of a mess since I was in the upper deck and wouldn't have landed on the field.. But I would have expected a 10 for effort.. Plus it was raining and cold as hell

very end of the game. We still had a chance to stop Bama on D and find a way to win. In the other case it was the very last minutes of the game and FSU would win by FG or TD and leave Clemson very little in the case of coming back.
The Bama kick came in a more critical game BUT the puntrooski came at the more critical time in a game. JMHO.

I was at both games and had them happen right in front of me. I will say that BOTH ripped my heart out. There was more on the line against Bammer, but the Puntrooski absolutley killed the crown in that very exciting moment right before. We felt that we had held FSU and they were giving the call back to us for the win. The crowd was going crazy, even thinking that the snaper had lauched the ball over the punters head. It took a few seconds for it to actually sink in that Leroy Butler aactually had the ball. I think it was Donnell Woolford that ran him down short of the goal line. It was too late, the damage had been done. That was a stunner. The onside kick was a stunner as well, but we still felt like the defense could hold them. When that TE scored shortly after, we were still "in it". It was a definite momentum changer. Think about that gamble. If it did not work, and they give DW and Gallman a short field, it could have been disastrous for Bammer. Our O line was playing so well. Oh well........ Before any of you call me a jinx, I was there for the goal line stands against ND and Louisville from last year. I'm not ALL bad luck.

Puntrooskie should never have happened. Vince Taylor dropped and easy INT the play before that would have given us the ball in FG range.

Wasn't there a bogus Maryland TD catch in the 80s?

1982 __#7 Georgia playing #11 Clemson in Athens __Herschel Walker had a broken thumb in a hard cast __does not play until game is on the line with Clemson leading 7-6 __ Dooley puts Herschel ( with the cast**) in at running back __ I think Danny must have told every defensive player on the field, to hit him*** ______cause as best I remember ( I was drunk) __ there were 11 orange jerseys on top of Herschel Walker and the quarterback walked around the right end for the score *** winning the game 13-7 ***
