Hopkins' NFL start is one of the best all-time |
Former Clemson standout Nuk Hopkins is having one of the greatest starts in an NFL career by a wide receiver.
That is not an exaggerated statement or hyperbole as he is the only 2nd player in NFL history along with Randy Moss to record 3,500 receiving yards before the age of 24. Hopkins has accrued an amazing 239 catches for 3,533 yards (14.8 ypg) and 19 touchdowns since entering the NFL in 2013. He has 111 catches for 1,521 yards (13.7 ypg) and 11 touchdowns this season and was named as a Pro-Bowl starter for the first time in his career (alternate last season). His 2015-2016 season was remarkable in a Texans' historical perspective as he had the third-most catches, fourth-most receiving yards and fourth most receiving touchdowns. He was also the first player in NFL history to have 100-yard receiving games with four different starting quarterback in a single season (Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett, T.J. Yates and Brandon Weeden). Hopkins appears to be like a fine wine that keeps getting better and more special with age.
