Former Clemson WR ranked in NFL's Top 15 players

by - Staff Writer -

Unranked to rated among the top-15 players in the NFL - that's former Clemson and current Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins' jump year-to-year in a poll of his peers.

Hopkins checked in at No. 13 Monday on the NFL Network's Top 100 according to a vote by NFL players, after going unranked in the 2017 version.

The jump is a nod to an All-Pro campaign last season, setting a Houston franchise record and pacing the league with 13 touchdown receptions and also led the NFL in targets (174) and receptions of 25-plus yards (17) - plus ranking third in 100-yard games (five) and fourth in overall receiving yards (1,378).

Through five seasons, Hopkins has notched 413 catches for 5,865 yards and 36 touchdowns.

Texans offensive teammate Deshaun Watson made the list at No. 50 after his strong debut season.
