Your favorite NFL team and your assessment of Round 1 ...

I'll go first.
Tennessee Titans ... Taylor Lewan ...
Not the biggest need, but this is not a draft for RB's ... sure didn't want the Ohio State back.
Lewan is mean and nasty ... good complement to last years pick, OG Chance Warmack.

Atlanta, and I really like our pick. You gotta protect Ryan better than they did last year. Really good pick I think.

IMO you can pencil Matthews in as the starter right now. Baker is injury prone and is adequate at best when he isn't hurt. I would have been happy with either Matthews or Robinson from Auburn, so I was very pleased with this pick.
Now Dimitroff needs to go get us an edge rusher, a dynamic TE, and some secondary and running back depth.

Love the pick. Maybe Matty Ice can stay off his back a little more now, as has been said.

Dallas Cowboys OT Zack Martin I like the pick. Obviously defense is the biggest weakness on this team. However, this gives more protection for Romo and helps open the holes for Murray. Romo is deadly if given time, this should help. We still can build on the D with solid starters in thr next two rounds. Martin could turn out to be the best lineman in this draft.

Totally behind the Panthers pick of Benjamin. With Lee on the board, it says a lot that they passed over Lee for Benjamin as they worked out Marquis several times. Big upside late in the round. But probably means no Bryant

Broncos - like the Roby pick, but it's not comforting knowing that he has trouble tackling and is undisciplined. Basically an elite athlete we'll have to hope can elevate the finer parts of his game.

Dirty Birds... Like us taking someone to protect Matt Ryan. Don't know enough about Matthews to have a strong opinion.
After today, though, I might have to change my allegiance to the Bills. I've pulled for them with CJ, Meeks, and Hairston, and now with Sammy, They'll at least be my strong #2 team.

San Diego Chargers
Jason Verrett - CB - TCU
Only knock is prior injury issues and his height being only listed at 5'9, but this kid can flat out play. Excels in zone coverage and exhibits elite athleticism and speed, which the SD defense thrives on. He will complement Marcus Gilchrest and Shareece Wright very well. His height will match up well with shorter receivers like Decker and Edelman.

Would have actually preferred we trade back for another second/third round pick. Benjamin and Lee would have both been there in the second round at the very least, and I don't think Benjamin is first round material. That said, he provides an instant red-zone threat.
The one guy I really wanted was Darqueze Dennard, CB from Michigan State. With him, Verrett (another guy I wanted) and Roby all off the board, I'd like to see if we can ###### up Keith McGill from Utah. 6'3" corner who's good in press coverage. Raw, but McDermott and Wilks can coach him up.

Not gonna lie, Clowney should be a great addition to an already stout defense. Excited to see what kind of havoc he and JJ Watt create this year.

Buffalo Bills

Mom's side is from Buffalo and even though I grew up in SC I seemed to always have an abundance of Bills gear thanks to my grandpa.
As we all know, Sammy Watkins.
I am really excited about this because that makes 5 Tigers on the roster there (C.J., Antoine McClain, Chris Hairston, Jonathan Meeks) but also because our passing and receiving game has definitely needed a boost. I like EJ as our QB and think he could do good things, but we needed to get a big-play receiver who can cover up his mistakes and make plays who will also give us some years. We already had some good names like Steve Johnson and Mike Williams heading into the draft, but both of those have been in the league a few years and I don't really think I could name anybody after those two... Sammy gives us down the field explosiveness and if both Steve and Mike make it to the season without something going wrong in camp, add in Sammy... I feel like that could open our team offensively a bit as well as help our run game with CJ and some others. I would like to see us take another RB because Fred Jackson is getting up there in years as far as NFL and age is concerned (8 years in the league at 33 for a running back...) and I don't know if any of our others really stand out to me.

were the blue chips in this draft. I don't think they'll be criticized for this pick. Would have liked to get Watkins, ecstatic that they didn't pick any of the QBs.
