Let's look back at recent recruiting / transfer portal classes for each school.

UGA

2024 - 38 total signees - #1 Class
2023 - 30 total signees - #2 Class
2022 - 31 total signees - #3 Class

Total - 99 signees - Avg. #2 Class

Clemson

2024 - 22 total signees - #15 Class
2023 - 27 total signees - #15 Class
2022 - 22 total signees - #14 Class

Total - 71 total signees - Avg. #15 Class

Clemson will probably be a significant underdog going in.

Depends on what ranking service you are looking at as well. Rivals has our last 3 classes ranked #10, and there are significant contributors on this team from the 2021 class that was #6.

#10 is around where most of our classes have been ranked that lead up to our best teams. Obvious difference in those teams was the QB play.

Should Clemson be an underdog? Yes.

Could Clemson win the game? Yes but it will come down to the offense. Our Defense should be very good to great this year. Hopefully the additional of Hauser will fix our kicking game woes. This game is going to come down to Cade. Every drive needs to end in a kick!

And then there is that small detail out there that Clemson is going to be a BIG underdog. That plays right into Dabo's hands. Dabo is going to drive the disrespect card home hard with this team and it has served him very well in the past. Tigers may lose the game, but I expect the best performance by our Tigers that we have seen a while.

Makes u wonder how the heck can they sign 38. No way they are staying under the 85 allowed. They have signed 99 in last three years. They didn’t lose that many this year but Signed 38. Right

Your point about Dabot motivating the Tigers is interesting. In fact, motivation is an aspect of this game people don't talk or speculate much about. Dabo will play the underdog card. Kirby will use last year's missed playoff to motivate the Dawgs. It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Bama knocked the mutts out the playoffs, Clemson did not, and with a 13 point give away, the mutts are thinking this will be an easy win for them!!!

I find it hard to believe Kirby is going to let them come in to that game thinking it will be easy or a win.

We will get Georgia's best shot. It all comes down to our offense. We need to start off crisp and get some confidence early...a UGA turnover would be a nice gesture as well :)

If we can do that, it will be a fun game to watch.
