Reed's passing got me thinking ... check out this video of Knicks vs. Bucks. Note the HOF players and all-time greats in this game. Two things stand out:
1. No 3-point shot, and how different (and beautiful) the game was when big men played a very different, more critical role as a result. It was a more balanced game.
2. Players actually dribbled the basketball; you see virtually no palming/carrying of the ball. It simply wasn't allowed, and players were taught and expected to actually dribble. Also no walking/travelling; again, unlike today, it just wasn't allowed.
I know and admit to being a grumpy old man, but basketball was so much better to me then.
Above all else, love and forgive. Understand that people who disagree with you are not necessarily idiots or your enemies. Respect the wisdom of the founding fathers and individual rights and freedoms. Always see the beauty and humor in life.
