Our ranking - or lack thereof - is warranted. The only team with a record as bad as ours is Tennessee. 3 of their losses have been to ranked teams. We lost to NCSU, Duke and Miami - none of which are ranked. That probably hurt our shot at the top 25, the most.

A simple Google search would show you that yes, Tenn has lost FOUR games this season:
- To unranked Florida.
- To #11 Alabama
- To #14 Missouri
- To #1 UGA
Clemson has lost 4 games this season to:
- unranked Duke
- unranked NCSU
- unranked Miami
- To #5 FSU
This isn't rocket science and the NCAA doesn't hate Clemson.

When you lose games, you have no business losing it hurts much worse than when you win against good teams that you should beat anyway.

I honestly don't care.
In the seasons we deserved to be in the CFP we were included. Whether we're ranked or not at 7-4 doesn't move the needle either way.
I hope we beat South Carolina, losing to them is never a good look. Otherwise, I'm not too concerned.
Then again my personal identity isn't wrapped up in rankings, or what other people think about Clemson, so there's that.

happiness on anything less than the top 5. I was tortured from the time Danny COACH Ford left with the broken heart of hoping for a top 25 ranking and being disappointed 95% of the time.
I'm fine being out of the rankings. We have a first class team and that going unrecognized is top shelf motivation for them.

If one is simply comparing us to Tennessee when it comes to rankings then I would agree that we should be ahead of them due to us having 2 better quality wins, and all of our losses being competitive including an overtime loss to the #4 team. However, I don't think the rankings are due to hate or any sort of agenda. I also don't think the rankings are due to bias due to hate or love for any certain team.
The bias I do blame for it is the type of bias one develops due to what their mind told them about certain teams earlier in the season. Clemson lost to Duke in the 1st game, then struggled in the 1st half against Charleston Southern, lost to FSU in game #4, and eventually ended up with a 4-4 record. At that point the voters were likely not thinking of Clemson any longer and had made up their minds that Clemson wasn't a good team this year.
Tennessee on the other hand started the year off at 5-1, and eventually moved their record to 7-2 which included a "respectful 14 point loss on the road to Alabama." At the same point in the season that voters had written off Clemson, they had already been viewing Tennessee as a top 25 team for much of the season.
It's easier said than done to erase what your mind has already made up that late into a season. Had Tennessee had their losses earlier in the season and also started at 4-4 then they'd likely find themselves in the "others receiving votes" category as well.
