I don’t know who called it.But watching the replay, it had a good chance if the right guard had not gotten completely smoked and blew up the play

Likely the play was prep for a field goal.

playing for a FG down 21-7 midway through the 3rd quarter when you have an issue that struggles mightily to move the ball is asinine in itself. We needed a TD there to realistically have any shot at winning the game so just giving up on a 3rd and 10 to kick a FG would be a horrible coaching decision. I understand that TP is limited in throwing the football, but the goal on that play should've been picking up 5-7 yards to set up a manageable 4th down.
Maybe that was indeed the intention of the keeper but once it lost yardage they could no longer go for it on 4th down. I certainly hope so...

By far the worst call of the night; however, when you

have the worst offense in college football just about, it's way more than one bad call or even injuries, bad throws, bad blocking, and drops - which all falls on coaching too btw.
The prep for our opponents is horrible too. TE embarrassingly admits it - "they threw something different as us then we prepared for". How many times have we heard that but are y'all listening?
How many WRs are ever really wide open like we see against us every week?
I know I am hard on TE but darn it, the guy is one of the highest-paid coordinators in college football with the worst product in college football.
I still think for that money we can find someone with a lot of experience. A guy who can dissect opposing defenses, scheme for mismatches, and make a positive half-time adjustment for once.
Is that asking so much?

That is not asking to much at all.
I am not sure that Dabo will make the tough calls to change staff as he did early in the job at Clemson. He could easily go the path of Bob Stoops at OU.
