Wrong.. if we get good pitching we can beat anyone. In your case today, after a bad luck start for Bailey, it mushroomed on us. When that happened offensively our hitters started pressing. Example Wentworth who’s been good since getting an opportunity to play basically frozen up today. All he had to do was just watch the 7 in front of him and the pressure was on because everyone knew the pitching would falter today.
With a few breaks in the competition we get and some on the field and this team can surprise a lot of people if team can play like they did in 6 prior games.

You won’t win many games at all scoring 3 runs . UNC pitching overpowered our hitters today . Their pitchers just blew fastball after fastball right by us . We lack several true hitters to take the next step .

I was on the road with a UNC fan and my BIL and when I heard who we had starting today against UNC, I told him that this was going to be a run rule game. He chastised me for being a poor fan and I answered him as honestly as I could that BJ Bailey would not last over an inning because he is a terrible pitcher who has not lasted 2 innings all year as a middle reliever
Well we all heard what happened (ACC Network on XM radio) and seriously, Dvorsky was the only name I recognized among the many pitchers.
Hey, that's Ok. Save the pitchers for the regional. I get it. But that is as far as we can go with only 2 available starters. We need some quality pitchers badly or we stay middle of the pack in the ACC.

Bell has emerged as a legit third starter. But I would be fine not seeing Bailey again this year. He had one or two good games, other than that hes gotten shelled.

Nope. Not true. We have severe issues at the plate. How many times this season did we see hitters trying to launch one out and striking out with men on base. Over & over all year. Many times, since Cam moved to leadoff and began ripping it up, he and maybe one more would be on base and our #3 and #4 hitters would strike out. We have no reliable #3 and #4 hitters and haven't all year. Until we come up with some guys who can put the ball in play with runners in scoring position, small ball will be our game and may or may not work. We don't seem to have the players or the mentality to finish a rally by clearing the bases.

They need a little more than that. A 4th starter, which is where midweek games come in. And more depth in the bullpen. Injuries have taken their toll and certain pitchers haven't panned out. UNC threw their 4th/reliever yesterday. They have probably the best pitching crew in the country. Teams don't have to be that good or deep. But being as short as Clemson is, is tough sledding in the post season.

No it's the opposite. I believe we have guys who can be good starters, we just can't take them out of the bullpen. Bell and McGovern could definitely be sunday starters. Bell will probably be the 3rd starter for the test of the year, but we can't afford to take McGovern out of the bullpen
