The 7th best OT in Kansas ? I hope this is a typo...or I hope it's that I don't really understand recruiting...or the state of Kansas high school football.

People forget that kids who grow very tall tend to fill out their frames later in their life (early twenties) than finishing that part of their physical development by their late teens.

Of course, the natural development as far the body’s frame is correlated with increases in strength.

Coordination improvement rate (sometimes gradually, sometimes quickly) increases after the body’s growth has largely been completed.

What I’m trying to say is that this guy is a probably developmental prospect. I’m assuming that his footwork is pretty good for a guy who grew quickly and extensively. Maybe an uncle or sibling is big and athletic.

The HS FB recruiting services rate their prospects based on their camps and HS film. They attempt to restore their credibility by re-rating HS recruits after signing day and HS All-Star games have finished. As we’ve seen on the front page of Tiger Net, a recruiting service has retroactively re-rated Cade Klubnik. I mean, this would be ridiculous except that recruit nuts (count me in in that) give then clicks anyways.

Not just saying this about our coaches, but for nearly every college football program, the coaches are far better evaluators of HS talent than the recruiting services.

With this KS offensive tackle prospect, I’ll roll the dice and go with Matt Luke and Dabo.

Clemson has succeeded recruiting Defense and Offensive skill players for years. O-Line is key and the missing piece of the puzzle. And the Mid-west and West are very fertile grounds for O-linemen.

And these young men will love Clemson, Lake Keowee, the magic in these hills, not to mention "Carolina Girls -- best in the world".
