The job of a head football coach...

Alright, those of you who are saying that Dabo has one job and that is to win football games, you couldnt be more wrong. Winning football games is very important. But building character, building up men, overseeing academics (these guys, afterall, are STUDENT-athletes), and getting these guys ready to tackle life after football.
I hate it when we lose, especially to SC but the job of a head football coach is far greater than X's and O's. We consistently have players who have character and stay out of trouble. We have an alumni of players who love Clemson and Dabo. They give their time and money to our university after college. I am glad that we have coaches who care about these young men beyond their successes between the lines of the football field. There needs to be more coaches out there like this. I'm only 26 and it seems that there are less and less of these role models out there today.
This post is not to defend the loss to SC but to oppose the posts of people who can't see past football. These coaches have far more responsibility than football. If you don't understand that, then you really have no clue.
Be upset today, but please see the bigger picture of what Dabo and co. have built and the men that they train up!
Go Tigers!

So who's job is it to build character, build up men and oversee academics of the normal non- student athlete? Everyone else has to prepare themselves for the real world- Dabos job to to coach, teach and win in football. He sets the conditions to make men out of boys, but that's not his job.

Shorter answer: Chad Morris was responsible for one turnover

The players on the field were responsible for every other stupid turnover we suffered last night. An in spite of the turnovers, we STILL were hanging with USC, on their field, until late in the game. We were even driving to tie before Tajh reverted to Tajh, yet again. I like the kid, but the QB's behind him will be a serious upgrade in terms of mobility and passing.

But I'm with you on the 'he's a head case,' part.

So don't say it like all he does is raise kids.

I do see the big picture, and that's why I no longer pump hard earned $$$ into a program that is being led by snobs who have zero interest in becoming an elite football program. That has been the only solace that I have had over the last 3 years since I quit IPTAY. Every time we choke, I just think about the fact that I'm no longer handing my $$$ over to this ##### whipped athletic department.
