The Covid Class: 2021 - 2025

Not going into a lot of detail here but IMO this draft represents the final demise of recruiting under Covid rules and Dabo getting robbed of his secret sauce of knowing his recruits and their families better over several years there. We've had talent, yes, and we have our share of big moments, but overall leadership throughout the ranks, which has put our ROY Bus numbers and schedule on the mountaintop often enough, has been off.

With so few departures, and openings, creating some angst both in our '25 recruiting class and NFL offsprings, take solace in our program rounding back into form with what it's always done best under Dabo - attract the best kids willing and able to go the distance together through thick and thin.

Salud'!

Go Tigers!

I think you’re wasting your breath wildblulou®. The person who bemoans ‘the sacrilege of any sport other than football tarnishing the sacred grounds of Memorial Stadium’ is now bashing the team that coaches and players that call Death Valley home.

It is either a troll or a toxic Eeyore…..

the offensive players, even though they are electric on paper. standing next to DW4 and TLaws and WRU players look small and soft

EYE TEST matters

hopefully I'm wrong about this 2025 team. but idk. this offseason feels a lot like the media talk we heard before goose egging UGA and choking at Duke

Here is the deal. All classes prior to Covid were committed due to coaches, school, education and potential future. Recruits during Covid came for the namesake and not because they could evolved with the Clemson Culture. After this, schools started buying players legally and college athletics changed forever. Now it's a "What can you pay me world" vs "What can you do for my future world"!

And we have stayed true to our word, have today THE most experienced roster (and talented to boot) returning ready to suit up, and stand out like a beacon to the big noise of 'get it now' over the days and years after.

Yes, we probably have one of the most laden upperclass team, at least top 25 probably. I guarantee we have the most yrs of experience at a single school vs any team in D1 except for Military schools. Unfortunately, after this class our our recruitment of top 5-10 HS classes will have graduated leaving us with major holes to fill. If we had maintained top 10 classes we would be fine but we will continue to lean on portal even more in upcoming seasons. I expect this to be one of my last favorite classes as the landscape of college sports erodes and $$ dominates.

Dabo has been consistently around top 15. He has very RARELY been top 5. Development and reranked pushed those classes into top 5. The 2015 class comes to mind at 7 with Wilkins and company. Ended up being the winningest senior class in history and was reranked as number two class after four years playing. Dabo rarely has to replace very many transfers and his classes end up smaller than the top recruiting schools.

I’d rather lose every game a Tiger fan than win all as a Coot or SEC flag waver.
