He has over a 100K of TUs working the system in different ways. In the day OJ's daily post was fun. Some of us researched to put up relevant, fun things. Now only CBProf does that.
It is now more a place where folks post many times adding "nothing" to the conversation because they know many will give them a TU. I have been not posting there lately as it is kinda embarrassing to beg there for TUs. Begging is what it has become due to multi-post every day there by some. Why would I take the time to research and entertain/earn a TU?
That is the way of the world and the way of Tnet. I will never reach the lofty TU status of a Tbalm, but for me to reach 80K must return to posting there. I will endeavor to stay up until midnight to receive your TUs for posting something clever like "Go Tigers".
I dont care how many pulse points I have. I post when I can add some insight, sometimes I add humor, sometimes I call out negative Nancy's, sometimes I get TU's and sometimes I get TDs. I enjoy reading 95% of what is posted. I don't start a lot of threads unless I have a question or interested in others perspectives which then I will usually try to have a little conversation. I don't chase TU's but any I receive, I am greatful.
Now carry on and chase your 80k, and here is another.
T is reluctant as to me due to me being an extreme right wing nut as he is an extreme left wing nut. No matter as we often find common ground and have developed respect for each other. Tigerbalm1is a clever guy who posts entertaining things.
and I'm just pointing out the irony of his post. And I find it funny that you TU'd the OP, he is making the same point I was, let's award posters who put time and thought into their posts, instead of TU'ing human calendars. There is nothing wrong with tradition or OJ, but we live a society that values and rewards mediocrity.

I've had this account for 14 years. I was 16 when I made this thing. Yet here I am with my measley 4.6K+ points. Granted my pulse has never been under 95% I think. I should probably post and comment more and stop going on extremely long hiatus'. But I will never beg for practically meaningless points unless it's a point party for a big game. But does that count as begging? Probably not.
Oh I totally agree. Although some parts of the year I can really see the boredom set in for the posters. I'd like to add more content but I'm not sure how well received it'd be. I just recently the last 2ish years now started donating a little because it's only fair I finally give back considering all the articles, historical stat lines, etc. I've read that this site has blessed us with. But I also like keeping informed on some legitimate insider info that some posters are really consistent on. That's been the fun of TNET really. Plus the banter is entertaining sometimes too. I do remember as a teen trying to figure what the heck the lingo was around here though. But I know majority now, which was fun to learn.
Sometimes its well received, sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle, and sometimes I'm off base for the Tigernet culture.
But I like that Tigernet has a culture. I wade through the piles of 💩 posts to look for those that are worth reading. I keep an eye out for certain posters... some to read and some to ignore. I even appreciate what the villains of Tnet add... sometimes I agree with them even when most of their posts are long-winded fantasies about Brad Brownell or jaba at Dabo not all that popular.
Just enjoys the parts you like and ignore the parts you don't. And donate every once in awhile at least.
and the resulting mini endorphin hits. Sadly, that is what our species has reduced itself to. But when you set an alarm for midnight to make the same post, every single night, for 20 years , the motivation is clear: self-aggrandizement..
One can post after midnight and until the Sun rises. I sometimes post in the middle of the night when my cat wakes me wanting out or when I have to pee. My bladder is not what it once was. My life is not what it once was, but I have friends here who understand.
...what it is. I am a 68 year old retired PE teacher and I do "The Watch" because I enjoy doing something that others seem to enjoy and/or appreciate. It's not hard to do, heck anyone can count or in this case, countdown, but I actually do miss Clemson football! Anywho, what I do is simple and it gives my small life something to look forward to for around 245 days a year. That may sound sad, but it's far from it...it's simply my way of saying "GO TIGERS!!!" TU me, TD me, don't matter none...stopped looking for my steak knives a long time ago!
it is not about being a point whoare, it is about providing actual content to the board, instead of countdown timers. Tug does that just fine. At least Myfav starts a thread, albeit the same one, that gets everyone together in the communal sense. OJ is a stopwatch. We can do better.
It doesn't. But technically, it is a thinly veiled point party that uses a small portion of the brain. I like "What's for super" much better. Do you hear me complaining about that?, cause it engages the forum and encourages sharing and new ideas. Countdown to kic-off can be a ticker at the top of the screen, it would be more efficient and Save OJ a lot of time for posting the same dang thing precisely at at midnight, every single day until football season starts. I do not need a reminder how far off it is, I find that depressing. Maybe the month leading into the season I will be more excited to see that post.
Come on, Tug. You've probably amassed more TUs from O.J.'s post than anyone. As for TBalm, he's welcome to his own opinion. My opinion: "Hill Watch" is an annual tradition.
I feel like I just walked into something and have no clue what it is about…but I get a feeling it’s not too good. Football is getting close, hopefully that will cheer everyone up. This time of year is bad especially with baseball making an early exit.
