that was actually how I got the wife to go! He outgrew his newborn outfits so we had to get more you know.
thanks for all the compliments. The boards look great. I hope to go back sometime next friday to try to get some pics of the smaller west zone boards if they are up by then.

I think the new speakers will be a huge improvement. The old sound system relied heavily on horns, which made it sound extremely harsh.. I've wondered what the new system would include, but it's clear from your pics that it will be traditional line arrays. Should be far more accurate and sound much warmer and pleasant!

but we didn't get too close to the top of the hill because the crane trucks were working on the speakers at the time on both sides of the board.
If I had known of the statue I might have tried to get a little closer and snoop around. I did plenty of snooping. For the record the westzone club is locked at all times!

we knew in the 60's and 70's, isn't it? When I attended our first home game in '65, I felt lost in the crowd of 40,000 or so, but I remember thinking: "Boy, this is BIG TIME FOOTBALL!" lol Now, the game is different as is The Valley, thank goodness.

met her at the CU-FSU game in 2005, actually the night before. She came to my tailgate after the game, which was actually my dad's tailgate, so she met the family on Day 1.
Fortunately for us, Clemson won, so the relationship was allowed to continue! She is a good sport, cheers for Clemson now, and I don't cheer against FSU anymore, so we compromised.

is my grandson. We all went to Fan Appreciation Day together yesteday. FYI, I spoke with a lady who was in the stadium for the scrimmage on Saturday and she said she has never heard a sound system as loud and as clear as our new system. She said it rocked the stadium (the stadium was nearly empty of course, which made it reverberate even more).
We met Daniel Rodriquez and got pictures with our grandson and granddaughter and spoke with him for a few minutes. He is one first class guy. I told him as much as he has inspired his teammates, he has inspired those of us in the stands even more.
I hope to see everyone in Atlanta in 2 weeks! Go Tigers!
