recipes from real old cookbooks, some interesting stuff.

Even though I was raised in the south, I had never heard of Chess Pie. My true southern neighbor could not believe it, so she made me one.

Anyway, here is a version of this pie, from Mississippi, called "Cheese Pie", of course there is no cheese in it.
