Actually 95% of people who retire in Ohio stay in Ohio. I am 59 and have never been to South Carolina, although I wouldn't mind visiting there. There is a reason the population of Ohio is 12 million and the population of SC is 5 million.

Don't get too excited... Ohio has only added 900,000 people since 1980. South Carolina has added 2 million. 40% growth vs 8%. South Carolina could outpace Ohio by 2040/2050... in more than just football. That happened back in '78
