Not trying to rain on the Nole parade

as they seem to have put together a special team but LSU did not look good tonight. Think that it's not crazy to speculate that they could possibly finish the season unranked with losses to FSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, A&M, and perhaps more... The SEC bias with the pollsters is bananas

Clemson will have to shut Duke out for the game and score 50 before half for the prevailing sentiment on T-Net to be anything but negative.

Congrats to Florida State. They got stronger as a game went on. However, LSU blew 4-5 opportunities to score…… many coming from dropped passes and dropped interceptions. FSU did a great job of hanging in there; LSU’s defense ran out of steam and probably weren’t motivated too well by, their offense. The dropped passes and blown opportunities were horrendous.

Agreed. LSU looked undisciplined and just fell apart in the second half. FSU took too many dumb penalties but didn't let it affect them. Good, solid win for the Noles.

I am saying LSU isn't that great, if that's what you are saying.

With their schedule, the only teams that could give them trouble are Ole Miss, Alabama and A&M. They could very well be like last year where they lose the first one and get back in the mix with a favorable schedule.
A lot depends on how they react to the FSU loss. Do they ball up in a corner or come out swinging? Kelly will certainly do his best to get them fired up but they might also quit on him if he doesn't handle it the right way.

They lose to Bama and they have toss ups with Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Then they have a bowl game. I am calling 4 losses on the season.

This is a typical Brian Kelly team. Lots of talent, crazy preseason hype and then reality. In the years with the biggest hopes and expectations, he always seems to drop the games that maatter most. When the hopes are the highest his boys come out looking unprepared, undisciplined and not well coached. I've always thought he was overrated and he's done nothing to prove me wrong.

Defense tonight. That will answer a lot of questions about this team and whether we will match up well against FSU.

Lousy Strange and Ugly
Will be fine this year! I found it strange the DBU had a transfer from ACC school Syracuse starting at CB though. Perhaps Brian Kelly has lost a step or something. Maybe a key assistant that he use to rely on heavily left him and he isn't who we thought he was. But, LSU has good players and a good QB, they will win more than they lose. I do see them losing more though.
As I recall; if it wasn't for some strange plays at the end of last year's game in Louisiana - FSU would have won rather easy then as well. They didn't take care of some details and the game ended up close - but they controlled that game in large part.
FFWD to this year in Florida - to me it was just more of the same we saw last year! Jordan Travis having his way with that secondary! Him extending plays and throwing it up to talented WR's.
But, we seen that last season as well! FSU had a good year; but not the type of year worth the hype they are getting now. They are actually benefitting from the "SEC effect" today!
Duke has more starters returning than LSU had(not talking about where LSU ended up ranked or historical greatness just last season). 9-4 with an awesome starting QB should have had Duke ranked; instead, politics takes over and the cycle begins again. Self-fulfilling prophecies based on "popular opinion"! LSU isn't as bad a it got beat last night, but I do not think FSU is as awesome as people are giving them credit today. Credit they are getting because of how much credit they are giving LSU for some reason.
