move I noticed at the game. After WF started refusing to kick to Shipley, and kicked to an up man on purpose a couple times, I noticed Dabo go out to the KO return team huddle, and motion for 0 to come into the huddle. Moments later, with Williams replacing the prior up man (Swinney?), WF kicked to him and we ended up with a nice return to mid field. Nice move, Dabo.

Said that lil swinney had been fielding in the spot and instead CDS had switched him out for someone who would return it. Very nice move by Dabo.

how many dadgum times did they need to do that before we switched? wasn't it the last one? what, 4 or 5 kick offs later?
I was telling my dad after that second pooch kick #### I'd have returners 3 wide on both side b/c we knew it was coming.

You have faster talent than Drew Swinney back there catching it all game long?

The problem with that is if you DON'T have Drew back there

and you decide to put the ball down and kick it back to the kicking team, we're attempting to do that without an experienced holder.

Drew is like an up guy...

he's not supposed to be catching the ball, he's supposed to be blocking and keeping your wide receivers who aren't being used as kick off blockers from getting hurt on kick off return. So Drew ##### up and returns it and we get to the twenty. Seemed like after that he just kept fair catching the ball. If you put Williams in then, they notice and probably don't kick it to him. But when it appears we are content to fair catch every kick off and take it at the 25, you can spring the switch on the other team hoping they don't notice.
It was only going to work once.

I STILL maintain that we need Drew there as a holder in case we opt to immediately kick it back to the kicking team.
BECAUSE IT'S SOMETHING YOU DON'T SEE HAPPEN EVERY DAY.
