It is disheartening and disappointing to hear Chase Hunter say the team wasn’t ready for a fight today. That shows poor leadership from players and coaches. You were in the freaking NCAA tournament. Every player should’ve been hungry and itching to play. Especially after their poor performance against Louisville. Zachary clocked in and locked in. He was one of the only Tiger who was ready. I get that losing happens, but I can’t stand teams thinking they can just show up and win. If that is the attitude, we need a complete reboot of the program. Bring back blue collar work ethic and get rid of the big headed players. NIL has definitely contributed to this mentality being more common in today’s athletes.

I was taking aback at that comment as well. In my opinion that is inexcusable. Losses happen, but to say you were not ready for a game of that magnitude with it being one loss & done is unacceptable.

Bugged me too. And Ian saying sometimes they just wanted it more. How the heck do you not want it more than your opponent at all times, especially during blitz g dance.

At the end of the day, Chase, Ian, and others could have solidified this team as one of the greatest by winning a game or two in the tournament. The legacy of the 24-25 team will never be seen quite the same after this loss.
