Stories from across the net. Foxnews does this a lot too; the only difference is that rag doesn't usually credit the source. Kinda like our sec def petey the rapist when he writes a term paper.
If you had any ability to think for yourself you mighta been able to figure out this story came from the independent.

The story is from The Independent. Yahoo is just the aggregatory here. However,

as much as I do not care for Trump or his administration, I think it's fair to be skeptical of this report. It's four unnamed sources who commented on his adjustment to the morning briefing and his Wednesday afternoon field office meeting, as well as questioning his social schedule.
From the article, there is a comment regarding his use of the FBI jet, stating that "all ethical guidelines had been followed 'rigorously.'"
Regarding the morning briefings, the article quotes an FBI Spokesperson:
In a statement to The Independent, an FBI spokesperson said: “The meeting schedule was changed to Tuesday/ Thursday for a large group, and Monday/Wednesday/Friday for a smaller operational chief group.
“The changes were based on feedback from Bureau personnel — not because of schedule or timelines.”
A spokesperson also denied to NBC News that Patel had arrived late to meetings.
Officials also told the outlet that the weekly teleconference was canned due to “attempted leaks” that had led to a series of national news stories, but added that Patel regularly speaks to field offices.
And I'll dismiss Patel having his picture taken along side his boss as evidence of "not taking his job seriously". I guess the guy likes UFC...everyone has a hobby.
Anyway, you don't have to like the guy, or the administration, to look at this report and shrug.

Scores against people who they believe have wronged them. Anyone who would go on record would immediately earn a new title FORMER FBI employee. Just last week the head of FEMA was fired simply for stating an opinion opposite of donnys that his org should not be dismantled; dissenting opinions are not tolerated.
Speaking of being skeptical; you can be sure that any public comment from any organization under the umbrella of this administration is as spun as a batch of cotton candy. I do not expect any truthfulness from any group close to donny.

Your response goes well beyond either the article or my comments.

If you are trying to convince me that you think this administration is garbage, that seems like a wasted effort. I am well aware that you do not respect anything about this administration. That has nothing to do with the weight of this article. I am not advocating for or against Patel. Just pointing out that the article as it stands pits vague anonymous aspersions against official spokesperson responses. On the surface, it's not much of anything. But yes, if you are going to view it all through the lens of "every accusation against these people is true and everything they say in response is a lie", I can see how this would be actionable.

Appointee. This administration is garbage, the people it hires is garbage, the man at the top is garbage, I'm more inclined to believe a leak than the official statement of the Trump mouthpiece assigned to refute it; you're 100% correct in your assessment of my position.
My only push back is that none of these opinions are unreasonable. Donny has proven over and over that he's incompetent, lazy, and unprincipled; so I extend those mores to his people as well.

to see JD Vance replace him.
I think it benefits Trump when we are sloppy in our condemnation of either him or his administration. Look how much mileage he got out of the Russia accusations. Now every accusation is "Oh, here we go again? Remember 'Russia, Russia, Russia'?"
When you cry wolf, you weaken the overall argument against Trump. Dark blue suits instead of black for the Pope's funeral. FBI Directors restructuring morning briefings. It does seem like nothing can stick to this administration. They seem to embrace a lack of shame like an impenetrable shield. And again, I think a lot of that stems from their most loyal supporters being controlled by shame. You won't ever really effect 20% of the population who supports him unconditionally. You have to focus on an ongoing case to the 15% or so that might waiver from their loyal support, or the 15% of people that thought he was a better option than what the Democrats ran. For the former, it can't look like a witch hunt, because that plays right into his hands. For the latter...gotta clean up the Democrat platform and run someone with an IQ above "I need a light jacket today" numbers.

One of the best reasons fascism fails is that it rewards loyalty over competence.

true, unfortunately, there are shi>theels like Stephen Miller who are both competent and evil. Merrik Garland let him slither away last go around in favor of locking up Bannon, which was a mistake.

Indeed.
Granny Clampet Garland whiffed as far as being comprehensive in locking up supporters of Democrat Party’s political adversaries.
Cut Granny some slack; it tried.
