Not the start ole nervous nellie was hoping for but they're starting to bring it back some. Lots of red on the inward half boys. Way too much green. We were 6th at the turn but irrelevant for now.

Kent st and NC State are on fire throwing darts.
Kent -10
State -8
We're Even

Come on Zach... Close strong.

The current top 5 teams are crushing it on par 5's. Birdies and eagles by most team players. We're stuck in the mud with just a couple scattered birdies, mostly pars and even a couple bogeys... Come on guys, close strong.

Now +5 and sole 9th place. I know, day 1... Still was hoping to come out on fire throwing darts. A couple teams like Kent st etc should fall back the next couple days. Just want our Tigers to leave no doubt like FSU is doing.

Our nemisis and even CLP mentioned it is our lack of scoring and problems with the par 3's. Hopefully someone that's there can give us a better wrap on what we were missing today. Drives, approach, putting etc.

This ole nervous nellie gal is bummed right now. I've been counting the days down.

It helps to be the host of the regional that you're in and therefore get to play your home course,so it should be no surprise that FSU is doing as good as they are

Exactly. Like us being rewarded for winning the ACC but having to go to vandys backyard to play. Nice eagle by Turk on 17 but then Colby gives half back with a bogey. Argh.

Hopefully Zach will catch fire tomorrow. JB not his usual self the last couple tourneys. I know, day 1 and we only need 5th. But I sure want a regional W.

exactly and those teams that get to host they most likely get to practice and play on that course just about all year around I would think,so therefore they know everything there is know about every hole on the course. The Clemson Men will have that advantage come 2023 when they too will get to host a regional...https://clemsontigers.com/clemson-to-host-2023-ncaa-mens-golf-regional/

Most welcome. We finished +3 - 10 strokes from lead. But 7 or 8 strokes from a top 5. Definitely worked to do tomorrow. Couldn't score on the 3's or 5's.... And most teams were scoring real well on the par 5's.

Good thing is this is probably as bad a round team scoring as we've had in a while. Also 2 unranked teams above us probably can't sustain for 3 days. Praying this is our worst day of the tournament.

Is there a recommended link to follow tomorrow? One with videos (non Twitter if possible).

Thanks in advance!

Here is the link. They're on CT so tee times are an hour behind. No video info.

Should have read no video unfortunately.

Zach has it in him to go low. Just needs to trust his swing and instincts. All of them just need to relax and enjoy the moment. Just play golf.

Thanks Bret. Meh, I was a little off until you reminded me. Appreciate it.

Saw caddyshack several times but not a movie buff. When the TIGERS playing golf, it's serious stuff to me. So yeah, I've been butthurt all day being in 7th, playing the way we did today.

Congrats to FSU. Nice round.

Y'all will be OK. Don't need to win. Just top 6.

And, if you don't think playing on your home course is an advantage, FSU went -5,-4,-4,-4 to open with -17. Through 14 holes they were -22.

I'm hoping some of the leaders will start to drop back, but we still need to play better and not depend on them. I am always surprised that Kent State always seems to be in the mix, so I would not count on them dropping back.

Clemgal ..... these things are always tough. I don't remember one when I was not on pins and needles. I still remember a couple of years ago when SMU, I think edged us out because would just could not finish that golf course (The Blessings, I think). In addition to some funky finishing holes that we just could not play, we just could not make anything happen. That's just golf!
