Adding the year that decibel record was made would be insightful.

Clemson in particular was over 20 years ago. Stadium atmosphere against the coots was absolutely pathetic

The Charles Bennett sack, never heard a louder stadium. and I've been to Tenn, Ohio State, UGA, South Carolina, LSU, Florida, FSU, Tex. A&M
It was so loud after that sack my ears actually hurt.

I wasn’t there for the BC game in 2007, but was in TopDeck North for the 2005 Miami game.
Miami 2005 game was the loudest stadium I’d ever been been to. Old men and little girls, everyone, was yelling at the top of their lungs before the Charles Bennett sack. Then came the sack. And it got even louder. Unreal.

Sorry to say but our stadium is not even close to as loud as it once was. The fan noise rule came about until later taken down when Clemson at Death Valley played VT under Beamer. We won due to two O line movements on VT because they literally could not hear the signals. Some complain about Dabo but the fan base is not doing their part as they once did.

Maybe bc it was one of my favorite games in DV, it was when we smacked FSU around in a night game. That night DV was really loud IMO!!!
Memory starting to take time to remember names, but I think it was Mcdaniels that knocked the FSU QB out the game...

VT game and an FSU game were probably the loudest for me.
Louisville in 2016 had a great atmosphere
I think it was 2006 GT, the thunder and lightning game was also a great atmosphere

If what you're saying if true, it has to that us old timers could make more noise than the now generation can. I've heard it said that the now generation are candy A$$ES, I guess there's some truth in that statement

New scoreboards and poor cheerleading have resulted in lower crowd noises each year. Fans are spoiled, lazy and watching video board and cheers can't start with loud ill-timed music.

I used to go regularly but haven’t been since ‘16 Louisville game. My couch is just such a good viewing area. I need to get back to the valley.
