give you that feeling. If it was Miami and Arkansas I wouldn't think NIL was a major factor. But Kiffen and South Beach...?.. those are no holds barred type schools.

It's a big life decision... you'd never want a kid to make a knee-jerk commitment without first hearing pitches from the other strong contenders- Washington State and Western Kentucky

This one really stings. No depth at RB going into next year behind Ship and Mafah. More importantly, could be left with no Power 5 offer RB's on the roster for 24. This is a glaring problem. Surely Dabo re-evaluates this in off season.
It's just bewildering that we haven't signed a RB in last 2 years that was offered by any other power 5 school. The excuse that no one wants to sit behind Ship and Mafah doesn't hold water. Bama, OSU, Ole Miss, Florida, etc etc have multiple 4-5 star RBs on scholarship. This position is in much worse shape than WR IMO.

You realize it's not a direct correlation between position coach and recruits. In other words, it's not that the running backs coach only recruits running backs, the linebackers coach only recruits linebackers, etc.

According to Dabo, when I asked him about a local kid I thought he needed to look at, he told me that each coach has a territory, but the position coach is the one primarily responsible for recruiting the position.
In the case of the kid I was referring to, he was a D lineman, but was in the territory of the QB coach.

Tdqtiger: You may want to check that. Yes other guys handle areas, but it’s the position coach primarily recruiting the kid, and making the call on who we recruit.
