I also live near 385 in Simpsonville. Getting ready to head up to Applebee's on Grandview in a little while for lunch and a drink. Stop by and we'll have a few. Bring a fake ID for your daughter, they will card her.

I moved into Littlejohn Coliseum, temporary housing for freshman! 40 students stayed there for anywhere from a week to the duration of the semester. Good times!

...they had no more dorms or even floor space in Littlejohn so I moved into LeMans apartments (and they were not exactly new then).
Those were some of the best days of my life.

77 years ago (in Sept.) I was moving into a dorm at Univ. of Florida.
This afternoon I was with a group of Lions selling brooms at Walmart in Central. The place was packed. Several years ago I was told that the Central Walmart store has the greatest sales of any store in the US on the weekend students move in. There were a lot of relatively big ticket items such as small refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, microwave ovens, etc. Some had two or three carts full of various items. There should be a lot of empty shelf space by tonight and a lot of restocking.
Reports indicated the Walmart Neighborhood store located on SC 93 closer to the University was also doing a tremendous business, mostly groceries.

JOE21 , I actually a topped at the Central Walmart last year the morning of the FSU game ...looking for a couple of rain ponchos .
Still have them , it never rained during the game .
