Well that would be a pretty big insult to Clemson, considering we gave him his start. I think he’ll remember that, and pass on this opportunity.

Unless he just wants the money or somehow believes he can do what no one before him has he would not be wise to take that job. Especially not now when Tennessee, Michigan, Southern Cal or perhaps Penn State jobs are coming up! He and Hugh Freeze are hot commodities right now - don't waste it on that dumpster fire!

If Napier takes the head cootball coach job; Dabo would have fired more people who went on to become major college head coaches than people who went from being the head cootball coach and later became major college head coaches.

I think it's way too heavy of a lift for Napier. Not enough upside in it for him to roll the dice on his coaching career with a consistently failing program.

I really don't think that should effect this in any way. Brad Scott coached at both. Besides we fired him... pretty much gives him freedom from any thoughts like that.

Lol I do think Napier is probably who gets the job. I think Freeze holds out for a good job. Obviously this is a job Napier would take, if offered. Even though he started at Clemson, he's not a Clemson alum, so I see no issue with it.

There is a big difference between coaching/winning at ULaLa and doing it for a team in a Power 5 conference.
That said, all things considered, he's probably one of the best options for them.
He fits at least two of their top three criteria. He's seemingly interested and he's affordable.
