I am not sure I love it. Coaches would just send out their flopper on personnel changes just to go down with a fake injury and get replaced by the starter.
On the flip side, guys who are cramping and just need a play or 3 to get right would either get penalized by missing out on the drive or putting their team at risk by trying to hobble off in time.

Be those coaches that try to find a way around them. But they have to try sometime because it's getting out of hand

probably a pretty precarious situation (a close game) and sending out inferior players in that scenario in anticipation that you'll want them to play a play and then fake an injury does not sound like a good strategy. Opposing coaches would be looking for it and exploit that weaker line up every time, I would think.
The bigger concern is a kid with an actual injury claiming that they had to stay in the game because they couldn't risk missing an entire drive having it checked out. But as was stated elsewhere, something should be done.

I love this rule. If you have major cramping, you do not recover by the next play. For safety reasons, you need to recover longer.

try to get off the field with a significant injury, worsening it?
Or will it incentivize the opposing team to deliberately hurt an opposing player?
We'll see.

They need to update the targeting rule so it is called the same way. I have no problem with flopping.

They would just stick a random backup in there to take a dive when needed then.
