in the last 7 days. I did cut my grass, and my mother's grass, and worked on my boat trailer that somehow I managed to snap off 2 brake lines, but past that...not much.

If retirement is anything like what I've been doing, I may retire sooner rather than later.

I did manage to catch a red, site fishing in a flat.

Just got back from my annual physical and BP went from 135/84 during work days to 117/66 today. All youse recent retirees @RH Tig need to know it takes a few years to really appreciate and get into the groove.

I have learned another level of relaxation...except coming home while ago when mfer screamed up behind me and honking his horn. Daym boi! Made me put my gun in my lap! Eating good. Sleeping good. Some grounds keeping and other heavy work, still cleaning up Helene mess. And the requisite days on the water all make me wonder why I stayed on the treadmill as long.

Not working or having to work makes me realize how much time I spend

working.

Being rich and never having to work must be a pretty fulfilling life with absolutely zero pressures. I'll never understand how folks say they would get bored being retired. I have so much that I need and want to do I'll never get bored.

Plus, I wouldn't have annoying work emails dinging my phone all day.

True story: I went and did something the other day and left my phone at home. I was gone about 3 hours, and didn't even realize I left it home until I got home.

It was like being in college without a cell phone--no one knew where I was, and nobody cared.

It was glorious.

I think since I dropped out of the workforce on March 28th, I had ONE day

where I did absolutely nothing but watch TV. And that was the day it rained hard all day. I've added a lot more live music...actually leaving to go to see a free Voltage Brothers show at Symphony Park behind Southpark Mall in Charlotte in about 30 minutes since the opening band comes on at 5:00.

When you wake up in the morning and it takes a few minutes to remember what day of the week it is and then realize it really doesn't much matter. Then, you know you have arrived.

I had to look at my phone today to verify.
