I got told tonight that we will lose by 20-35 points in Willy B this year because it’s “such a difficult place to play, and Rattler will be unstoppable this year. I pointed out that we’ve outscored them 177-54 in the roach over the past decade, and his response is “this is a new era”. I then reminded him that we beat that new era 30-0 out last trip there, and his reply is that we’re just outmatched at almost every position and Cade is a miss. He then predicted Clemson to go 8-4 with losses to NC State, FSU, ND, and South Carolina. It was also stressed to me that Beamer is head over heals a better head coach and football mind than Dabo.

He’s a good buddy of mine. But that’s been the general consensus here around town. They legitimately think that that somehow that 1pt fluke win has catapulted them in the realm of the Kansas City Chiefs, Dynasty era Patriots, And the 85 Bears. It’s pretty crazy. Dowell Loggains being the genius that he is has completely transformed Rattler into a better version of Mahomes intertwined with Brett Favre, and his pure offensive genius is next level. Everyone is terrified to walk into Willy B and absolutely nobody will ever come out of there with a victory ever again because if the pure chaos of their rabid fanbase.

What else is new. They have always had short and selective memories. They will take a 2-8 season and say it was just the building blocks they needed to go 10-1 the next year.
I've never understood how and entire fan base can talk themselves into such high expectations every year and then get beat down and act surprised as to why and how it is happening.
And then they wonder why they get disappointed each year.

Wish I had been there. I normally shut their fans up fairly quick. They think every QB we get is a miss until he isn’t. They get that from T Boyd not ending up as great as he was hyped out of high school and I’m guessing Clemson fans were doing a lot of talking back then about him coming in and how great he was before he hit the field. Was in line at the Chic Filet at a game in Clemson when Watson was a freshman and he was running his mouth about Clemson always going on about our QB’s. That ended up being a great day and would have loved to run into that guy again.
