He was arrested for DUI and marijuana possession along with hit-and-run 10 or 15 years ago. Wouldn’t surprise me if it was something of the same. Probably did something stupid in Ireland. Time to grow up Joe!

They announced on the show The Locker Room that he was let go a few times. I was on GT’s bored The Swarm and there was some speculation circulating there. There are a few “in the know” about what happened. I like Joe. He was the only one who was supportive of Clemson in that SEC loving circle jerk crew leading into the Georgia game.

I personally had the privilege of being the team doctor for Macedonia high school Football team in Joe’s junior and senior year in 1993 and 1994. He was a great quarterback, and an even greater person in my opinion. I got to know his family well during that time and they are all super quality people. Had Joe decided to come to Clemson or South Carolina, there’s a good chance that Tommy West or Brad Scott Would have been around a lot longer. Clemson recruited Joe as a defensive back and not as a quarterback. Big mistake there. He ripped us apart when he was quarterback at Georgia Tech. While I do not know any details of what has been reported, I personally wish the best for Joe in the future. Yes, he should’ve won the Heisman his senior year instead of Ron Dayne ( Big running back from Wisconsin). Joe meant Far more to his football team in any running back at Wisconsin did.

I lived in Bonneau Beach during Joe’s time at Macedonia. He was a wizard,even as a freshman. Great group of athletes at that little school during that time. Joe,Pierson Prioleu(pronounced pray-lo) went to and started for Va Tech, and Courtney Brown started at DL for PennState.
