I don't how anybody really truly feels about the disrespect we have been put through the past few seasons, but I like it. A championship trophy looks just as good in a trophy case whether we were respected through the season or not. I do know that our guys play their AS$ES off when they feel disrespected. Please disrespect us ESECPN, and anybody else you can convince to go along with you. At the end, you have to respect the man with the title, and hopeful that man will be our pissed-off Clemson Tigers. Go Tigers, beat GT!!!

Only a fool bets on their own team with this situation. If anybody wants it, I'll take Clemson to cover the spread for 25 tnet points, takers?

We will control the line of scrimmage on both sides. We had extra time and a game with wofford to prepare for tech. We win big. 31-14. Our OL is beginning to dominate in the running game. Love the ability we have to run the ball.
Nothing here to see, no way we are upset this week. Our guys will be so thankful to be playing in the sunshine.
31-14 tigers win big! Go Tigers!

If our guys can play 60 FB minute through a torrential down pour that has wash away part of our state, and beat the Notre Dame team that no one but Clemson Tiger nation gave a chance to win. A thunder storm will be no more than a spring shower to them. Goooo Tigerssss, kill those pesky bee's!!!!

They know, this team knows what the know it alls are saying about them. Ask Ben Boulware, Wayne Gallman, Jayron Kearse, Artavis Scott, Deshaun Watson, and Mackensie Alexander if they are hearing what's being said. Every player that suits up know what is still being said, and they will tell you they don't care what is being said. They do their talking on the field where it really counts. And that the talkers aren't the ones getting punish for what they say, but they are the ones looking ignorant and stupid by what they say. There is No need to hang bull chit trash on the doors or their lockers. They know what is still being said, and hanging trash in their locker room couldn't remind them any more of what they already know!!!

I think they have some good "reasoning" on why upset alert?
Oct 7, 2015, 11:23 AM

will not be an easy one for the Tigers after going down to the wire last week in a draining win over Notre Dame. The majority of the Tigers' defensive starters played 65 snaps or more, including defensive ends Kevin Dodd (70) and Shaq Lawson(69), and linebackers B.J. Goodson(72) and Ben Boulware(72). Those numbers are exceptionally high to begin with; now add in an offense that is run driven and these players will be relied on even more Saturday. We saw Clemson get tired in the fourth quarter against Notre Dame..." And this could be good locker bulletin board material! GO TIGERS PROVE EM WRONG AGAIN!

As Dabo has said over and over, the team looks for any motivation it can get...if there was any chance that they would be taking GT lightly, it is gone now. I hope that Clemson is on upset alert for all of the remaining games.

Of course we are when she picks 3 teams every week.
Oct 7, 2015, 12:18 PM
|
|
Simple math can show why this is stupid.
1) Only favored teams can be on upset watch 2) There are only 7 games involving ACC teams this week 3) In those games, only 6 ACC teams are favorites (Cuse is a road dog @ USF) 4) 50% of those teams have to be put on upset watch
Here's a suggestion Andrea: try picking 1 team instead of half of them. Maybe then we wouldn't get the same recycled blog post with Clemson, FSU, and "insert whoever you want here" on upset watch every week.

It makes sense objectively.

They have to pick an upset game every week, so they have to look for situations that seem like an upset is possible. I don't think we're going to lose at all, but if there were a recipe for an upset game, this has a lot of the ingredients:
- coming off a big win - team that has given us trouble in the past - team that runs an offense that's difficult to prepare for in 1 week - big game for them in terms of how their season turns out
Only thing missing is if we were on the road. We still are more talented and will win, however.

I think that Dabo and staff has our team conditioned to the season starts this game, and their won't be a let down over the game the week before like a lot of good teams will do. The season starts every week mentality has been working well for our team for the past few seasons.

Let's think about this realistically. Forget that we're Clemson fans for a minute.
Clemson is coming off a big, emotional win. GT has lost three straight, but has a lot of talent and SHOULD have been a good football team this year. They have the ingredients to have been a solid top 15 to 20 team. You would think at some point they're going to pull it together this season.
Looking at this game as a football fan with no vested interested, and not taking the BS "##########" logic into consideration, but just looking at all of the intangibles, who wouldn't put Clemson on "Upset Watch"?
I think Clemson is going to win, and likely win big, but I can see where they're coming from.
