I cannot get excited about any FB game that does not include Clemson. I find myself unable to root for or get excited about any other college FB team not named Clemson. Grew up all my life a Clemson fan. My dream came true when I was accepted as a student at Clemson over 62 years ago. Changed my life.

It will change your life. While not an alum, 70+ a fan. To your question, I'll watch college fb any time it's on. Fbs, fcs, d2, d3. Some, like 2nite for that matter, I'll tune in just to root against meechigan. I was actually pulling for Bama to win another one. But, I'm a Saban fan.

Agree with this except the part about pulling for Alabama. I pull against all SEC teams.
I love college football. Depending on how strong a rooting interest I have, I can get really into it but obviously not as much as when Clemson is playing. I found myself tensing up near the ending of both semifinal games, hoping both Alabama and Texas (future SEC) teams lost. Tonight I am pulling for Washington because I never did like Harbaugh and even more so that he's a proven big ole cheater.

I would say that means you love Clemson, but you don't love football.
I am only slightly rooting for Michigan tonight but don't truly care what happens. I am rooting for a close and exciting game

I generally do not root for a team besides Clemson. I don't see the point. There are a couple of exceptions. When Jeff Scott was HC, I rooted for USF. Now that Venables is at OK, and Elliott at UVA, I also root for those teams.
As for getting excited. I don't get caught up in the hype for any game. Not even Clemson games. I look forward to Clemson games, but do not consider it the same as my getting excited.
That being said, I am also looking forward to the game tonight, because I am intrigued by rare inter-conference match-ups. I am hopeful for a competitive game, but will not be rooting for either team.

I was planning a Sun Bowl trip but it overlapped with the Clemson/Kentucky game so I stayed before my TV.

In non-Clemson games, my interest is in who I want to lose, e.g. the coots, no matter who they're playing.
The two semis were exciting because I wanted to see the SEC team and almost-but-not-yet-SEC-but-coots-would-claim-them-if-they-won team both lose.
Don't care too much about Michigan vs. Washington, but lean a little bit towards wanting the cheaters (that bought Rashan Gary's mom) to lose.

I am interested more than excited. I watch primarily Clemson games in person if I can. If not, I watch us but will also catch the chickens, other ACC / SEC games primarily. Tonight I will watch as long as it is close ... Go Washington ... I did pull for Michigan to get rid of BAMA.

I don't care who's playing tonight, I'm not watching. No Clemson? Nope... which means the game means nothing to me. Clemson needs to prepare now as to how they are going to beat Georgia. It will be monumental for Clemson to win. A loss may cost them any chance of going back to the CFP and limit their chances of strong recruiting especially if Dabo refuses to us the portal...

Yes, I feel the same way. Always excited for a Clemson game, either in person or on TV. I enjoy watching college football because I love the game. If I don't have "a dog in that fight", I will pull against any SEC team and always against Ohio State or Michigan. I may feel different if I had grown up in the midwest area of the country, but I am South Carolina boy, born and raised. I will pull (not too hard) for Washington tonight mostly because I have a friend who grew up and attended school in that state....

You're depriving yourself of half of College Football enjoyment. Granted that the vast majority of that is watching Clemson play, but their is a tails side to the coin, albeit a donkey's tail, (see how I got past the junior moderator on that). While one side of the coin is, what's best for Clemson; the other side is, what's worst for Dirtpecker U and their loathsome conference.
So tonight is pretty easy, Michigan beat the bell cow of the SEC, so if Michigan loses tonight then that bovine gets leaner, mooving on down the line. Go Huskies!

I used to watch a lot of college football in general than I do now. I never miss a Clemson game but it's not uncommon for that to be the only game I watch on a Saturday. I actually forgot about the semi finals.

I love Clemson and will ALWAYS pull for all of our teams. Graduated in '95 from Clemson and nothing will ever change how much I love our Tigers. I am very optimistic that Dabo will get us back into the playoffs as early as next season.
At one time I was a college football junky. Could watch it from Noon until Midnight as long as it was P5 versus P5. Then I could watch pro all afternoon on Sundays.
I gave up on pro football several years ago. I have not watched a single pro football game this season.
I was all in on college football until NIL, transfer portal, and opt outs ruined it for me and for a lot of people I know. I watched all of the Clemson games and have not watched more than a few minutes of any other college game this season. That will not change tonight.
I do not blame anyone who does continue to watch college football as it is a great sport. However, the college game is no longer as good as it once was.

You don’t have to pull for another team to enjoy watching the game. I watch as much as I can of other games and just love the game. But Clemson is always the priority. I am pulling for Washington over Michigan only because I can’t stand Michigan and Washington has an exciting team to watch. But I don’t care really who wins.

If Clemson or TL16/Jags isn't playing, I usually won't waste money paying for 4 hours of electricity to watch other teams play FB. If it isn't Clemson or TL16/Jags I just don't get excited at all watching any other teams!!! The NCAA constant rules changing that has about destroyed college FB has had me pulling away from the sport for a while now, and the portal and NIL has about finalized my feeling of caring about anymore. The finale straw will be if Clemson can't find their way into another conference within the next 2 or 3 years I will shut it all down for all of college sports....
