Soon I will be headed down to my dock to watch the boats and play some tunes.
I think today will put on my folder of Drinkin' Songs.

This is 125 songs I have collected related to drinking.
Any who might want to download a copy from my cloud, Tmail me for the link.

Yep - wish I had a dollar for every time I played that song during my musical career......and I was a Clemson saxophone musician (Jungleers and Caravelles) who joined 2 of the original Swingin' Medallions with the offshoot band "The Pieces of Eight":

I have been to see the Medallions and Caravelles many times.
My fav in the 60's was THE TAMS.
Best I ever saw them, traveled to Charlotte to Fireman's Hall.
The TAMS had no band, played with house musicians. That night the band supporting them was The Medallions. That was off the chart!

I sure had fun playing all one summer with the Caravelles at the Pawley's Island Pavillion... loved that place for the peanut hulls and draft beer and made enough money to buy a '64 Buick Riviera (wish I still had it!). It's a shame the pavillion's gone now.

The Tams were great!

Before the fire had all their albums in mint. I even got one in from Argentina that had the cover in Spanish.

I'll put up a ton of Beach in top quality next week on my cloud for download.
Beach is my fav genre.

I had pretty much given up music as a way of making a living by 1968 and had become more interested in my fiancee. She was not keen on marrying a musician, though..... <img border=">">">">">"> We were planning a wedding in January of 1970.

A few months before the wedding I received a call from the Swingin' Medallions. They needed a lead tenor saxophone player and asked me to join the band on a Sands Hotel tour, starting in Las Vegas and on to Hawaii.

I thought that might be a lot of fun, so I called my fiancee and asked her if she'd like to get married in Hawaii and explained the reason for my question. Her answer was:

"If you'd like to do that, go ahead - we can always get married later."

It only took me a split second to decipher that answer, so I called John McElrath and Carroll Bledsoe and politely declined the offer.

It sure would have been a lot of fun, but after living life for 48 years with my wife, I would not go back and change my decision. It was the best decision I ever made.

She did allow me to play with The O'Kaysions at one of our daughter's wedding at Kiawah:

I used to see them at MB, and loved their set where all of them wear clear, see through
rain coats with jock straps. They could get pretty "salty:.

I can see for about a mile in each direction - there is just one boat (jet ski) on the lake on this fine day.
Meanwhile places like Lake Norman are so crowded they have to have odd/even days.
I do truly live in paradise.

Like Nick Saban does, getting ready to take my weekly bath in the lake with Ivory soap (it floats).

While you are here, I have a question. Do you think that lady who just ran that 4:06 mile will ever break 4?

When you are doing all you can, finding 7 more seconds is very hard to impossible.
I do of course believe a woman will do that- maybe this one.

Highly recommend the CCR discography for a day drinking outing. Hard to go wrong with the tunes and spirit track to track.

I first saw them in Oakland, NJ in 1965. I was visiting kin, and went down to ""Pleasureland" where they
were playing at the bandstand. I was wearing full length madras pants, and being from SC I talked with a
southern drawl so everyone assumed I was with the band. Best part of that whole summer was losing my
virginity helped along under false pretense??
