Dabos record vs top ten teams

I may have heard it wrong but I thought I heard someone on the radio say Dabo is 6-3 vs top teams. If this is true then that's a pretty #### impressive record. I hope they show this stat at Gameday.

my neice plays for usc softball. I will support her but not usc in general. She is a soph. this year and starts mostly at ss.

I count 5-4. Still not bad
2009: W against #10 Miami
2011: W against #5 VT
2012: L #4 FSU. W #9 LSU
2013: W #5 UGA. L #5 FSU. L #10 USC. W #7 OSU
2014: L #1 FSU
So when people bring up Clemson's weak schedule, remind them we played not 1 not 2 not 3 but Four top 10 teams in 2013.

Using final bcs rankings (CFB Playoff for 2014) he's 2-8 vs top 10 and 5-11 vs top 15
There are some that we played that were top 10 that didn't end up 10, but some that were top 10 that would have remained so had injuries not taken place (2013 UGA) so take it with a grade of slaw

On CFB Daily yesterday they said he was 5-2 against Top 10 teams...I'm going to guess that's what they're ranked at the time we've played them...oh, and also likely what's throwing people off, that stat is based on when we're ranked below the Top 10 team we're playing (at the time).

Makes sense. Take out the L to #5 FSU (we were 3) and to #10 scar (we were 6) and its 5-2
Either way impressive.

I waiver on what I think is most important. If it wasn't for the media preseason bias I would say current ranking always trumps final ranking because of momentum at the time. Due to the bias for big name and SEC teams I do think the current rankings can have flaws, but overall still provide a better view of the team that took the field that week.
Also the week after a team loses its first game is difficult to recover from. Which is a big reason why I don't like to discount ND's win vs GT. Sure GT lost to Duke but I expect them to rebound once they move on. Hopefully we are not in a similar situation next week having to face that same team.
