within the top 20 games ever viewed (including all participants in all 20 games.)
I did some research ....something kirk apparently didn't. here is the attatchment backing up what im saying, along with a link to the other top 10 most watched games of all time.
https://frontofficesports.com/most-watched-college-football-games/
So out of 20 possible games, most watched games ever, and 40 open slots in those 20 games, the top teams such as Bama, Ohio State and Clemson make repeated appearances as one would expect.
however what it doesnt explain.....and certainly kirk cant explain this, teams like penn state, auburn, oklahoma are NOWHERE on the list despite playing in national championship games against big opponents ........what is the excuse kirk......i'm waiting.........clemson has eclipsed national championship viewers of : Penn state vs Miami, Oklahoma vs Florida, Auburn vs FSU, and even Ohio State vs Bama (covid year)...........again kirk.......where is the excuse these are straight up cold hard facts, and they dont seem to be lining up with what you say. perhaps you are just talking out your a** and what you say isn't actually true but simply your opinion?
Here are the top 20 most watched teams ranked by how many viewers they have pulled in over the top 20 most watched games ever......again no opinions just cold hard facts
1. Bama 2. Ohio State 3. Clemson 4. Michigan 5. Miami 6. Texas 7. Georgia 8. Nebraska 9. USC 10. Notre Dame 11. Florida 12. FSU 13. Colorado 14. Oregon 15. Washington state 16. Washington 17. TCU

get great ratings. Birmingham, AL will still be the number one market, they are gonna need to see who Bama could have beaten if they still had Nick.

Maybe I can't read, but the article link pretty much says exactly what Kirk's point was. And, as the article stated, you get two teams with massive alumni bases playing in the playoffs or national championship games, your ratings and viewership will be massive. The top 10 most viewed games support that. Our games against Bama, even being the natty game, doesn't draw the viewership to make the top 10 list. 🤔

If you notice no game in the playoff era made the top 10.....not just clemson......other than the very first national championship game and the novelty of it (ohio state vs oregon)...........thats why i put in the top 20 most viewed games of all time...........BCS era/Playoff era combined..........
and once again Kirk is simply wrong....the data is right in front of your face to see......people prefer to watch Clemson over Bama vs LSU, Auburn vs FSU......Oklahom vs Florida.....Miami vs Penn state.....once again all national title games.....all bigger states.....all bigger "blue blood" programs and yet clemson has bigger viewers.............perhaps....just maybe...Kirk is wrong and the national audience prefers watching exciting players like Lawrence and Watson over hyped up name matchups.........reality seems to back up what im saying.
