I'm shocked that it's already been 10 years since DaQuan graduated. It seems like yesterday!

Agreed. Any list that doesn’t include Michael Dean Perry, Chester McGlockton, and Christian Wilkins (although I respect his humility) is not a good list. In terms of DTs alone, you could get to a Top 10 pretty easily:
All-Timers: William Perry Michael Dean Perry Chester McGlockton Archie Reese Christian Wilkins Dexter Lawrence Jim Stuckey Grady Jarrett Brenston Buckner You could add Trevor Pryce if he’d played at Clemson longer
Plus guys who were outstanding college players: Rob Bodine, Vance Hammond, Richard McCullough, etc.
Also a bunch of really good players like Carlos Watkins, Tony Stephens, etc.
And that’s just the DTs.

Daggone...you have 100% of my respect for mentioning Tony Stephens...was a helluva player and much under appreciated in Clemson lore...
A quick story...I was a qb at Clemson back In the late 80's ... my freshman year and first live scrimmage action in August it was us freshman and others vs the first team D...Tony was the starting NG and Michael Dean was the 5 tech...coach called a sprint out pass on 3rd and forever...I got the snap took 3 steps back and Michael dean was already waiting for me at my dropback spot...so I turn the other way and Tony was starring me in the face the other way...I dropped to the ground Like a rock...that's when I knew...this is different..:lol...Tony was a great guy also!!!
Anyway, you mentioning him brought back a great e memory or maybe not so great!!!

That’s a great story. I was a student at Clemson back then. Our D-Line had so much depth. For all of the guys I mentioned, there were others that I left off who were darn good players during the 85-90 timeframe. Mark Drag was one that should have been on my list. Otis Moore was really good. Brian Raber, Raymond Chavous, Mervin Green, Angelo Fox, Al Richard. I’m forgetting some others. Even 3rd-4th team guys like Danny Sizer were studs in high school and could play when given a chance. Those were fun times. Bet you got to see some interesting stuff up close.

of those guys from the late 80's... i'm glad I got to witness the two greatest eras of Tiger football! Any DT list that does not have Michael Dean and at least mention Big Chester simply means that the list is totally uninformed. Most people only think of Fridge as the big personality, but as a college player, that dude was as scarier than Lawrence Taylor as a college player... they flipped those perceptions as pros, but Fridge was a monster and Michael Dean was the only slightly less monstrous in his own right... by the way, i'm certain that we crossed paths on more than one occasion...

Great list. I think Michael Dean is hands down our best ever at this point. Won NFL D player of the year and was like a 6 time pro bowler. That’s stout. How many pro bowl selections do Beasley and Grady have? 1 and 2 maybe? Vic broke his sack record yes, but folks didn’t pass nearly as much back then as now. Michael Dean was an all out terror to our opponents while at Clemson.
Jeff Bryant was dang good too.
